I'd say an excellent day, Larry.
A great series.
Mike
My experience is somewhat similar. I sent my 200-500 to check out the AF function.
My frustration was that I really couldn't talk to Melville. Once you get a service order number you can go on line to check what ever cryptic information they release. I ended up calling the 800 number which is their call center in PA. They have to contact Melville.
Anyway they had parts back ordered for over 3 weeks. I found it hard to believe that a currently in-production unit would have to wait 3 weeks for parts. Sounds like I'm lucky.
In the end they replaced 6 major components in the lens.
When I got it back, to my dismay, it had a noticeable internal, physical issue which they seem to have corrected. But it took an additional trip back to Melville.
A great shot Larry. "Ralph" certainly seems perturbed. I hope that he and Alice plant their flag there and set up a nice home.
More fingers crossed too, Larry.
That is correct about taste receptors.
I spike my feeders with a red hot pepper solution to allegedly deter the squirrels with only limited success. It doesn't bother the feathered eaters at all.
A nice shot Mark, with good detail. Maybe it was saying a little prayer that you might send a little snack its way.
Nice shot Mark. You got it just right.
Mike
Gregory,
They are so much fun to photograph. You certainly captured that one beautifully.
Mike
An excellent series Corky. Well done. Great detail.
Mike
Another great shot Gregory. I was very impressed how seriously they seem to take their Burrowing Owl nests on Marco.
Mike
Excellent as always, Gregory. I hear a lot about the Red Tide over there. It's not affecting you, I hope.
Mike
Quite the cutie Gregory. Nicely done. Marco is quite the photographer's dream even in the Summer.
Mike
I hope it was more successful at its next spot. That's a great area for photography. Well done Gregory.
Mike
These guys will just walk across a busy roadway if they get the feeling. And bring the whole family with them. You got the shot. Is that a band on its leg??
I love how you caught the action Thomas. Nice job.
