Who says we in Seattle cannot grow cacti outside that usually live in the high desert?! We found this little cactus pulled out of the ground by the side of the road in Zion National Park seven years ago. I put it in a ziplock, took it home to plant in a pot and now it's going to produce at least five flowers! It only produced one other bloom four years ago.
Blooms after seven years!
