We believe what the government tells us to believe. (I don't see a Big Brother Smiley?)

I recall drills, hiding under my desk and others in the hallway away from doorways & windows. Luckly the necular strike never came!

Nope former teacher of 30 years- everyone knows that is low pay, and now I work at a grocery store. That pay is lower than my retirement pay. I don't look at how rich or poor a candidate is. None of them are poor. Obama has much more money than many of us will ever have. So why is that bad for Romney and not for him?
I look at their ideals and their background. But I base my opinions and those of the writers that look at the last four years, and what has happened to our country and our part in the world. Sorry but overall that is a "D" grade.
I am reminded of the Arab story. There were prisoners, they could choose to be executed or go through a dark door to the unknown. Most chose to be executed. What was on the other side of the dark door? Freedom. In this election we have the current choice or the dark door choice. I have lived through enough years in this life that I choose the the dark door. Let freedom ring. Mitt did clarify what he meant. And you do not belong in the group he specifically meant. You are not and were not a freeloader. You earned your money. There are those that are 3rd and 4th generation-(welfare) capable workers that choose not to work. Those are the targeted ones.

The difference is that Romney wants to implement programs to further reduce the tax burden on the rich at the expense of programs supporting the 99%.
It is not how much money a candidate has (JFK and FDR were rather rich), it is there policies they champion.
Romney may not be an idiot, but ignorant fits rather well.

BO saved the union !

Amazig logic.
So who would you like saved. The executive team.

How many jobs did BO cause to be lost when he closed all of those independently operated dealerships, when he "saved" GM ?

Aw Mike, you know, they were only car salesmen and ripoff dealerships. Obama did that to protect the public against rip off. You know that was an integral part to the success of his rescue of the auto industry.
quote=FLandWVMIKE quote=micro quote=FLandWVMIKE... (show quote)

Again, GM closed the dealerships. I have as much sympathy for the dealer employees as I do for the factory workers. The fact is massivly more jobs were saved than lot and an industry was saved.
You shouldn't project your own shortcommings upon others.

By the way, if GM went down, ALL of the dealerships would have closed!

GM closed the dealerships, not the government. But several hunderd thousand jobs were saved at GM and the associated supply chain.
Not sure how many jobs were lost at the closed dealerships, if you know please share.

First, Obama is your president also. If necessary you could look up a tutorial on how our government works.

Second, I do not have to look it up, Senator Obama voted against the invasion of Iraq.

True, Obuma didn't appear to apologize for the content of the movie. Good on him.

However, let's not ignore the fact that Obuma does not attend intelligence briefings. He chooses to just read the abreviated report, of which he can't ask any questions from the pages. All other POTUS's have received in-person briefings 6 or 7 days a week. Bad on him. DO YOUR FREAKING JOB dumbass!

Who said anything about invading anyone??? Your guy does nothing, he thought with a few speeches and a few apologies that he could save the world, he is hapless. He has no policy, look at his doctrine "Duty to protect" I guess that Libyans are more highly valued people than are Syrians, or maybe, this president really has no plan and his doctrine was just convenient for the moment. What is happening in the world right now, does anyone care what the US thinks, no!, no one is asking about what the US is going to do in the middle east, they are asking what China and Russia are going to do with the Middle East and Syria as this president is not a leader, he is just the guy who occupies the White House.... What has he actually done for the economy????? What? He funneled a bunch of money to states and localities to fund union jobs for a year and a half, but other than that he has done nothing more than hamper a recovery... The business community both large and small businesses have no confidence in the president and they know that he really has no interest in a partnership to rebuild the economy, no he feels that he, Valery Jarrot, and a hand full of academics will study the problem and fix our economy via Central Planning and using the government to incentivise an economy that they envision for the American people as if market forces left alone will not give the American people the economy that they want and deserve...

President does nothing, he produces budgets that get exactly 0 votes, he does not manage the senate and makes no attempts to manage and bring together the congress... Any initiatives that he puts forward are partisan that he knows are doomed to failure... but he keeps the unions in his back pocket by throwing them red meat that will only cost the American people great sums in the long run...

Will be glad to see this one go, he is useless.

So you must think that the majority of the country are morons! He will be reelected.
Let's see:
He passed Healthcare
He saved the economy
He saved GM
He decimated Al Quaeda
He got bin Laden
He signed Lily Leadbeder
He reduced middle class taxes
He stopped torture and began to restore our international status
He reduced discretionary spending
Need I list more?

All with a congress of belligerent children
quote=Blurryeyed quote=micro quote=Blurryeyed E... (show quote)

The ACA still polls unfavorably in national polling, not really a popular accomplishment...

He did not save the economy he has only made things worse, yes the economy is doing better than it was in his first days of office, but are you so naive as to think that all recessions have a bottom?, and that a recovery is natural, this president and his policies have served to slow and hamper what should have been a stronger recovery.

He saved GM with $50 billion that the taxpayers will never see again, with that kind of cash he could have built a new GM...

He did not get Bin Laden that is a crock of hogwash, the military got Bin Laden, the president simply agreed to let it happen.

Oh! Gosh! He signed a piece of legislation that progressives are thrilled about! Ghee what an accomplishment!

He reduced taxes on the middle class by reducing the funding of Social Security and Medicare.... Two major funds that Americans rely on which are going bankrupt and the president has not had the cojones to honestly address the status of those two entitlements...

Stopped Torture, yes, how horrible of GW to waterboard three individuals who played important roles in 911.. Oh! and even the Obama administration has admitted that the intelligence that came from those interrogations was instrumental in finding Bin Laden... President O just chooses to blow their asses into tiny little bits, no trial, not jury, simply O's justice.... somehow that is more humane than waterboarding, ok, gotcha.

He has not restored our international status, half the world is laughing at us, and the other half is burning our embassies.. Maybe you haven't noticed, even though the president gave that moving speech in Egypt, the muslims weren't buying, there are 15 countries right now around the world with people in the streets chanting death to America, and somehow I think that they are serious...

LOL He has not reduced any spending, he took his first year in office with a $1.4 trillion deficit and made it the new baseline so that now he can claim to have made spending cuts, do you really think that we are so foolish as to believe that not having run a deficit since being in office under $ 1.2 trillion that we are going to believe that he has managed the budget?

I would be happy if you would list just one major accomplishment that he has done since being in office that was really done at his direction that the country as a whole appreciates... Obama is bad for this country on almost every level, 4 more years of this president will only mean 4 more years of decline, look at the man, listen to him when he is being casual in his remarks and not campaigning, he is resigned to his belief that America is going to have to learn to be less than what it was and even what it is today, the problems are too large for him and the narcissist that he is he just accepts that as our destiny.
quote=micro quote=Blurryeyed quote=micro quote... (show quote)

When you poll people on the individual aspects of the ACA, it is overwhelming popular.

Without his policies the Bush recession ould have turned into the Bush depression.

maybe you were traveling with him and didn't notice his briefings. (I'm curous, what did George W do to stop 911?).

The reduction in payroll taxes are to timulate the economy, it does not reduce SS or medicare payments.

Torture is torture. Period. Are you aware that we prosicuted and exicuted (I believe) japanese officers for waterboarding americans? So you think laws and morality are only applied when convenient?

The world according to FOX. Let's try reality. Is bin Laden laughing?

I'm done!
