I have been reading the posts on this site for the past couple of weeks, and am reminded of the party game "Chinese Whispers".
Each topic starts off with a clearly defined statement or question, but half a dozen posts down the line the discussion has moved on to something entirely unrelated to the first post.
Then someone pulls at the reins and it's back on track.
I have also picked up some really useful tips which I have successfully put into practise, so if you'll have me, I would like to join in.
I live in Kent, the Garden of England, UK, and have recently retired from a lifetime in (lithographic) colour printing. I was brought up with film, cameras with no adjustments, my own darkroom in which I learned how to develop B&W and colour film, make and enlarge prints, HDR printing (which I thought was called double exposure combined with dodging and burning) and so on.
I have joined the digital age, disposed of all previous equipment and got some new kit, computer, software and found I know so little about how to produce images as good as I used to, that I must start over from the beginning.
I am going to need a bit of help, and I hope you guys and girls will be willing to help level off the learning curve I am facing.
Best wishes to all,
Jim
