Thanks to all for the warm welcome. It's -35C this morning. And that's without the windchill!! How can the weathers guys say "high" and "minus" in the same sentence??

Since the (old) film days, I've always had a SLR. When we moved up North a couple of years ago, I found it to be a hindrance. I've missed many shots while changing lenses because the critters just won't pose for you.
So I bought a Nikon P500 last summer, and it does the trick.
