Excellent photos. I love how you have people in the first photo to show how big the dunes are. The composion on the second and third photos are right on. Please post some more from your trip.

Thank you AuntieM......for your kind comments. I will be posting more photo's from our trip. Road Trip West....2 ....Utah....is done. I might have posted it wrong as I did get a message about it. Several folks have caught it. More to follow. This is fun!! :-D

Several years ago a slab fell off of Landscape Arch so I
hurried to see it before it collapsed. However; as your image shows, it is still intact. During my visit, the trail under it was closed.

Thanks nosretep.....for your comment. When I posted that picture late last night I was trying to recall the name given to the arch & was too lazy to dig thru my paperwork! It is Landscape Arch and we were there in March 2015. Bob :)

Thanks ebbote for your comment. Having just arrived home from work & taking a quick view of this section.....your comment is making me realize that I also am hungry so I'm on my way out the door to do something about it! :)

Wow! You captured the pure essence of structure and design in that last photo. Somewhat quirky but I see why it brought a smile to your face.

Thanks Bob.....

Utah is a great state to capture some special photo's. Would have been nice if the clouds parted a bit more, but one needs to just "click" while your passing thru! :D

A young guy was doing this set up which he apparently does every new place he visits. He let me snap this shot just for the memory of the smile that crossed my face!

welcome to UHH be warned--it is addicting!
Great photos of beautiful places. I have one taken at almost the exact some place as your Canyonlands shot! But I am wondering where are the CO sand dunes located?

Thanks plessner.....for the warning! I'm beginning to see how that's possible!
The Great Sand Dunes are located in Southern CO. They are close to Alamosa in a place called Mosca. We were approaching them on our road trip after we visited Santa Fe, NM. Bob

I have been thinking about a Bucket List trip to the National Parks in Utah on my way to Monterey. Your photos are edifying and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Ron

Thanks Ron,
I wholeheartedly recommend just such a trip!! During our trip in March we were in 2 of the 3 sections of Canyonlands National Park plus Arches NP. And those parks didn't cost us a dime to enter since we have a senior National Parks pass. I'll be sharing more soon. Bob
