On my travels I only take my 18-200 nikon and it has never let me down, although it is a little soft at the margins in long shots. It is robust and when falling out my backback onto a concrete floor only the filter get dented, the lens was fine, but the hood cap does not fit so well on that filter.

I agree with Gene51 when he says that successful selling from online galleries is to a following. I use smugmug and think it is very good, flexible and cheaper than some, but my sales are limited to those who follow the sport I photograph (which is school skiing in Scotland).
