Captured it with my Sigma 150 -500mm @ 500mm...I think the eyes came out well despite no fill flash...
All great pics, but I love the fly the best...
Come to Adelaide, we can have a catch up and I can show you around...Adelaide is a beautiful garden city, close to some of the best beaches and also the Adelaide Hills...all within half an hour of the CBD...sadly, due to my spinal injuries I can't get over your way. I'd love to as I have friends in Idaho.
Cheers,
Ron.
Loved this peaceful scene in the Japanese Gardens here in Adelaide...
Love these little guys...shot this at the Adelaide Zoo...
Lovely pic, interesting concept...
Cheers,
Ron.

I would like to know the settings
Thank you to all of you above. JR1 if you can down load Opanda, you'll be able to read the EXIF data attached to each image.
I use a free programme called Faststone for most of my editing....it's brilliant!
When you open a thumbnail and view the full screen pic, you just move your cursor to the right of your screen and a menu opens up, all the EXIF info is there...

Just out of curiosity, what date was the pic taken...?
It was taken last Thursday the 13th December 2012, why do you ask?
In a recent local photo comp that I won, there was an entry very similar with the pages folded to form a heart but that was a couple of months ago and I was wondering if both photographers had seen the idea published somewhere...being on opposite sides of the globe it amazed me that the two pics were so similar...I love the pic...a case of great minds thinking alike...
Thanks Guys,
I get down to the Dam every couple of weeks and there's always plenty of bird life there...occasionally one poses for me...LOL
Cheers,
Ron.
Love the last one in particular...
