If I was spending that kind of money I would get a 6d and a 70d body only on both. A very good full frame and a very good crop frame for when I wanted the extra reach. With the savings from not getting the 5 I would add another piece of glass. But which piece?????

Panasonic Lumix ZS30 is a great choice. I use a Lumix ZS6 (the 30's ancestor) as my shirt pocket camera, even carry it when I have a DSLR with me. Sort of a backup just in case.[quote=Wisbadger]Greetings from Michigan!
a good quality point and shoot camera.
I have personally owned several Canon and Panasonic P & S cameras

Medium to higher price range ($300-550).
Great optics but do not need 20 or 30X lens. 10x or less is fine.
Good low light camera performance and decent video.
Macro capability and good true color high quality photos.
Nice to have wifi and GPS.

Duh! Both plus a lens for the D610 so it won't feel left out of the goodies.

A recent settlement will give me extra money and I was wondering if the following should be in my future:

1. A Tamrom 150-600mm lens for my Nikon D7000
2. A Nikon D610 upgrade from my Nikon D7000

I like dogs and cats, at least smaller dogs, big ones not so much, my 2 are about 20 lbs each and one of them likes our cats, as playmates. Pestered them so much as a 2 1/2 lb puppy they took to sleeping on top of the bookshelves. Since she is a big girl now and lives outside they go to the glass door and tease her. When she gets in the house they either try to ignore her, or hide.

Your kittens are really cute, but I am over my quota for cats, and dogs, my wife says no more after these are gone.

There was also the Olympus Pen series, they were range finder type bodies and used 35mm film in a 1/2 frame format. I had a fixed lens version but didn't like the picture quality so only used it as a pocket camera. It is still around the house somewhere, unless my wife or oldest son found it during cleaning and forgot to ask me if I wanted to goodwill/recycle it.

English is like that because it is a composite language. Made up of multiple blended languages. We got different words from each and as a result some words end up sounding alike but spelled differently. Others end up spelled the same and sometimes pronounced differently. Some look and sound alike but mean different things. And often we have multiple words that mean nearly the same thing. Exp: house (German), mansion (French), of course we use the French for a big fancy house, why, the Normans took over England in 1066 and spoke French, they were the bosses and so their name for a house became the upper class type of house. Us peasants use house (haus). But both can be a home.

There were over 600 tribes in just what is the 48 states. They varied all the way from agricultural peoples with stone/adobe construction (Pueblo Indians etc.) to settlied agricultural with some hunting wooden construction (eastern woodlands) to hunting and fishing etc. and even very high level wooden towns supported by a a combination of fishing, hunting etc. (Northwest coast tribes). Just to let you know I am a retired history and geography teacher.

The native north Americans were hunter / gatherers, everything you said were staple foods, has to be cultivated. The native north Americans were not cultivators. They hunted bison and gathered Jerusalem artichokes.

Couldn't resist another post. Note the address for the clip has comedy in it, like getting news here in the states from Saturday Night Live. Who says 'egads', anyone who watches a lot of old BBC stuff or reads a lot of S. Holmes novels. And your signature line, I happen to like John Denver. But being a country boy who has lived in the city for decades I totally understand and pity those who don't understand our stuff. I am bi-cultural; urban and rural, they are mono cultural, urban only.

The Jerusalem artichoke is not from Jerusalem and is not an artichoke. It is from North America, and is the only endemic, original, natural vegetable in North America.
And who the hell say's "Egads"?

It has controls like a dslr but it is smaller and has a fixed zoom lens. Or it means you have to buy it from "Joe" down in the shadows under the bridge.

I found Adobe Creative Suite (CS)5 Design Premium-Mac for $474.95, which has Photoshop CS5 Extended, AND it also has InDesign CS5. I want a copy of In-Design. So really this seems pretty well worth it. However, I don't know what the extended means. What is the difference between regular Photoshop CS5 and CS5 extended? tony
