Thanks, all of the watches, and the knife were carried by either my Dad or my Grandpa.
You can always finds deals on used lenses, but bodies are a different story. Look for a used camera with low shutter count. Let someone else pay full price.
Wow tough crowd.
Maybe if post some out of focus shots of flowers, I can get more than one response.
Maybe a shot of a bug.
No.
I got it. A bird. Thats it!
I know these shots are good. I made money off of each one.
I lived above Conifer for years. How do you keep the bears away from your hummingbird feeder? I Got tired of snow, fire. I moved to Firestone, next stop, somewhere outside of Silver City, New Mexico
The barrel knife is over years old, if the watches aren't they are close.
this is not for sale anymore.
I have a Canon 1ds with around 90,000 on the shutter. 2 batteries and a charger. It works fine, I have 3 1d bodies and want another. To buy it I need to sell this one. It's the only reason it's for sale. $220.00 and you can have a pro full frame camera.
I also have a non IS [they are sharper than the IS] f/4, 300 mm L for sale. The glass is perfect, no scratches, mold or any defects. Comes with caps, tripod collar and a after market padded bag. My style has changed. At one time, I would have caused a 40 car pile up, pulling over on a HI way to get a picture of a hawk, the 300 worked very well for that. I have turned into more of a urban decay kind of photographer. I find myself leaving it a home more and more. I am asking 475 for it.
I live in the Denver area, and would prefer to sell locally. I do have a pay pal account and although I have never used it to sell anything, I am sure I could figure it out.
Naldo is correct. Bigger Mega Pixels , better image.
Canon's baddest, go fast, pro camera IDx II series is 20.2 megapixels.
It is a marketing ploy.
More is better. Why have last years 739,740,272 Mega pixel camera when you can have this years 9,475,098,450 model.
It's the same with ISO. How many of us really need a 64,000 ISO?
Unless you are doing billboard size prints, 10 MP's will print 12x16 perfectly, probally up to 20 will no problems.
So to sum it up, more is not always better.
I have always owned high end, hifi equipment.
I remember back when 45's and lp's were it. Once in a while you would see a reel to reel.
Again, I remember going to the record store, coming home with a new album. Talking it out of the sleeve so carefully, no fingerprints allowed. Blowing gently, any offending dust off. Placing it on my Thornes turntable, my cleaner and fluid in hand. Making sure the record and needle were spotless. Gently placing the tone arm down. And then...… snap, crackle, and pop.
It drove me mad.
I was in the stereo store one day, this was when CD's were brand new. I watched the salesman take a CD disk put on the carpeted floor, then he rubbed around with his foot. He picked it up put in in a player, and it played flawlessly. Not one snap, pop, crackle or even a hint of a hiss.
I bought one on the spot. At the time there was only about 10 different disks for sale. I came home with Springsteen's. Born to run and Ry Cooder's, Bop till you drop. I never bought a LP again.
I like Canon 1D bodies, I have 3. When I leave the house a 1Ds, I usually have the 24-105mm L on this one. Two Mark lll's. On the 1D I have my f/4 300 mm L, and on the 1Ds a f/2.8 70-200 mm IS L . I have 2, Tamron G2 lenses I pack as well, te 45 and 90 mm . I have purchased all of this equipment used, and saved over 20,000 dollars, from the out of the box, brand new price. Even at that, I still have a chunk of money wrapped up in my obsession. A waste of money, not for me. When I get back from a outing, I can't wait to see what I have taken. How well did they turn out? Any wall hangers? I have images that could never be taken with a cell phone [ I honestly do not own one. I hate them, and have absolutely no reason to own one.] So for me,every penny I have spent is well worth it. If someone says nice camera, I just say thanks.
