Flash can "freeze" motion. Electronic flash is "on" for about 1/1000 a sec so those raindrops were exposed for that time while the rest of the scene was the slower shutter speed. What I like about this shot is you can actually see the refraction pattern in the upper large raindrop.

Hi everyone,

I have perused UHH for a couple days and decided to join up. I'm happy to find an active and enthusiastic forum from which I hope to learn and share.

I consider myself an enthusiast and have found my niche in nature, whether on this planet or not. :mrgreen:
I've been shooting primarily landscapes, cityscapes, astrophotos, general nature, and IR.

I have been wanting to get into people photography but from what I can tell it is a totally different beast and possible harder to work with. I'm sure I'll learn from you, I have already from just a few days of observing.

Below is an IR shot at Missouri Botanical Gardens. I also have a channel swapped version for the "blue sky effect". I look forward to sharing with you.
