Photos of Duncan Tavern where our forefathers planned the Revolutionary War. Duncan Tavern is located in Paris, Kentucky. Only open at certain times on the year now. Worth a visit.

Been poking around on here for a while and I like the concept and forum. Using Nikon and a few lenses. Enjoy shooting landscapes, wildlife and kids.

Topwater,
Welcome to UHH. Some nice shots you posted. What Nikon do you shoot with? A Nikon D7100 here.

Stall,
Welcome to UHH.
Suggest you go to your local camera store and handle models that interest you. Do some research before to get an idea of what best fills your photographic needs. Some stores offer rentals so you can try them out first hand.

Thank you David-

I'm using both but primarily digital. I bought myself a Nikon D3200 about a year ago on impulse which I've been very happy with. It came with the Nikkor AF-S 55-200mm and Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm and I added the Nikkor AF 50mm which is my go to lens.

My "baby" is my nearly 40 year old Nikon FM. She's sooo sweet.

Thank you again for the welcome. I'm really looking forward to checking things out. I have a lot to learn.

Best,
Cody

Welcome Cody. Still have my Nikon FTN and Nikkomat from late '70'. Now mostly use my D7100. Enjoy the forum. Lots to learn here.

Hello,
I stumbled upon this site and it is really wonderful. Looking to learn more about photography and enjoy the wonderful photos everyone's sharing. I take xrays (a little higher up the electromagnetic spectrum from visible light....) for a living, have three cats, two dogs and a super cute grand-baby, no bias here, right : ) I love things technical and artistic, so imaging of almost any sort is a nice blend of both! Gardening, ponds, reading, archeology, astronomy are things I'm into, on one level or another. Keeps me out of trouble!

Looks like a great site to enjoy other photographers and view some amazing pictures - I'm addicted to my camera - although not quite mastered or understanding everything, I have always been a Canon girl but am trying a Nikon

Dragonfly,
The little boy & dad is a great capture. However, your pups get me. Have a pug myself. Max & Mabel were brother & sister but had to put old Max down last November. Mabel is still around, 14 years old now.
What Nikon do you shoot with?? Have a D7100 myself.
BTW, welcome to UHH, great forum, you will enjoy.

Hello everyone. I have been taking pictures since I was a kid. I currently shoot with a Nikon D80 and a Leica V-LUX4. The D80 is my go to camera for sports car races and most out door events. The smaller size of the Leica is well suited to candid shots. I also use the Leica to shoot short movies for the internet.

I thought I would start by posting 2 pictures taken with my 0.8megapixel Olympus DK500 and one from Lime Rock Park taken with my Nikon.

I have learned a lot from reading some of the posts and hope to share more in the future.

Welcome Jake. Lots of good folks here to help you out. Just ask the questions and a ton of answers will follow. The "Store Original" box lets members download you photos.
Had a D80 myself. Sold it to move up to the D7100.
Learn and enjoy.
