If you are ,"In fear of your life", you can use Deadly Force, in most cases. Each state is normally a little different, though. It would be best to talk to a competent attorney, whatever that is, before you decide on a course of action.
In Virginia, and Pennsylvania, you can purchase a gun at a gun show. After a background check, which involves paperwork, etc., you can walk out of the show with your purchase.
In Maryland, the "Free State", so they claim, after the paperwork, you pay for your purchase, and leave without it. The background check takes the Md. State Police, about a month, or longer to approve your purchase. Then you can pick your purchase up at the dealer.
Wasp spray?? Never heard of it being used for such cases.
But I still believe that Col. Sam Colt had the obvious solution for these problems!!
