canon rebel xt body I got for $100. It is real clean, no dings or even dirt. I didn't get a lens, CF card or manual. I found the manual on the canon site but when you print the pages it says 'COPY' diagonally on each page top to bottom. So I am one of the oddballs that actually read the manuals for everything. Anyone know of a book or printout for an old canon so I can learn the ins and outs of this thing?
Oh, and I found this on craigslist, Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS II Lens with UV Filter and hood, for $89. Deal or not?
Thanks

Here's your manual (I think)
http://ib.berkeley.edu/labs/dudley/PDFs/EOS350-EN.pdf

The lens sells used for anywhere from $70 to 100, so that's as good a price as any - assuming condition is very good.

Hi all, Otis here. I am beginner...ish. Been shooting for some time but not with a real camera. Thats not true it was a real camera but anyway, now I have a canon rebel xt body I got for $100. It is real clean, no dings or even dirt. I didn't get a lens, CF card or manual. I found the manual on the canon site but when you print the pages it says 'COPY' diagonally on each page top to bottom. So I am one of the oddballs that actually read the manuals for everything. Well I really like it. I have Corel PaintShop Pro and am just learning it. In fact I am reading the manual first. I know, wierd but I always read the manual.

I love the added color. Was that done in Photoshop? Was it an additional layer?

Which brand/type circular polarizer is recommended and why? I see so many from $9.99 to $70 and up. And I know you get what you pay for.
