I have experimented with almost every type print. I have a new favorite, Acrylic. I have ordered acrylic from two different vendors and in my humble opinion, Whitewall is superior. I would highly recommend acrylic over metal. Also, if you like the way your post processing finished print turns out, don't have anyone make any adjustments. I promise you, whoever does the adjustments will not see the image the same way as you do. You might be disappointed. That's happened to me a couple times and I learned my lesson. No adjustments. The person on this site who recommends sending in an 8 X 10 proof is very smart. It may take a little longer to get your finished product but you know you will get it your way. Good luck and enjoy the experimental process.

Why not? Metal Prints are cool and they really pop. I sell a lot of them, especially in the larger sizes. Go for it.

Great shot. Really epitomizes the drama of storms in the Rocky Mountains.

I have a Canon Pro 100. I use Canon Photo Pro Luster LU 101. Works great. Have you checked the calibration of both your monitor and printer? Good luck.

Lived at Green Creek for 6 months in a tent in 1970. Wonderful location. It also cemented my desire to end up living in a spectacular mountain setting. Ended up in Telluride, CO. Aspens are just starting to turn. A little early; should be quite nice the last two weeks in September if anyone is coming this way.

Never had a problem all over Europe as long as you have the right converter. There is a difference between Northern Europe and Southern Europe. But on the cruise ship you should be ok.

Beautiful photos.

If anyone wants to visit let me know. This is a shot of the Mountain Lodge where I work. Thanks everyone for the kind comments. When your palette is as spectacular as Telluride, it is hard not to get great shots.

I will be going to this area of Colorado on October 20 -- 23. Will I be too late for fall colors photography? Yes. Sorry.

For anyone planning a fall excursion into the San Juan Mountains, Telluride, Ouray, Silverton, Durango. This is what you will find.

Telluride is a magical place. I have lived here for 17 years and every corner you turn and find a new perspective. If you have a good 4 wheel drive vehicle get off the main roads. Imogene pass is one of the best. Last Dollar Road is also very good. Will you be here for the fall colors? A cruise around the million dollar highway is maybe the best day you will have; from Telluride to Durango and back up 550 through Silverton, Ourary. If you are here the last week in September through the first week in October, you will be blown away. Many great off-road side trips with old mines and all the color you will ever want to see. My suggestion? "just let if be" and allow yourself to wander aimlessly with camera and tripod. The great photo opportunities will find you. Good luck and enjoy the wonder of the San Juan Mountains in the fall. You will probably see me with my tripod and camera clicking away.

I recently switched from Canon to the Fuji X-T2. I live in the Mountains and do a lot of hiking as well as traveling. Got tired of lugging around heavy equipment. So far I love the X-T2 although it does take some getting used to. I find You-Tube tutorials very helpful. IQ is extremely high. Fall colors are coming quickly to the San Juan mountains; then heading to the Northeast for different leaf-peeping and more photographic fun. So, I will have much better feel and experience in a few weeks. Thus far, I am quite pleased with the change.

Quick hint. If you try and go to all the places mentioned here, you will need to move here or at least plan on spending 3 months instead of 3 weeks. I have lived in Colorado for 25 years and know pretty much everything from Denver west, north and south. My hint is to find one region and explore it. Don't try and go bopping around to see all of Colorado. You will end up seeing nothing but asphalt. My humble suggestion is Southwest Colorado, the San Juan Mountains. It is the true jewel of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Good luck.

Try and schedule the San Juan Mountains (Ouray, Telluride) for the end of your trip. Fall colors usually start in the middle of September. Safe travels!
