Credit card companies generally require you to write them a letter of complaint, which you must do within 60 days(I think from the date of the posting. Can't remember for sure.) I would write the letter and send it to the credit card company ASAP. I only had one case where the CC company didn't find in my favor and it was a crooked internet company who gave my CC number to many other companies who charged my card(I did win that part). Even PC World Mag. had an article about this company and how deceiving they were in their ads. They still wouldn't reverse the charges.

mrbailey47 that url to SLR.lounge.com is great thank you for posting. That is the best tutorial paid or free that I have seen for Lightroom. Totally a great site. I recommed it to anyone who wants to learn lightroom. Thanks again.

I had the wife buy me a T3i for xmas. I checked every where for the best price and ended up buying it from Amazon. I could have gotten a better price from a couple of the camera stores but was leary because I had never done business with them, latley several members here gave them good marks. So I may have missed saving some money there. The T3i was on sale a little while after I bought it,I called Amazon and they gave me a refund on the difference with no problem. I wanted the higher pixel count on the T3i. I paid under $1200 for the T3i with 18-55 mm and EFS 55-250 lens. I have been a canon peson for over 30 years and have never had a problem with any of my canons, just passed my last Canon to the wife to replace her Canon and she loves it. Just one man's opinion. Good luck.

I deleted all images from card formating becasue I was giving the camara to my wife after buying a new Canon T3i. Later she couldn't find some of pictures that were on that card even though the were stored in several places. I bought CardRecovery for $40.00 worked like a champ. Easy to use and very effective, plus I downloaded it and has ready to use in minutes.

Thanks everyone lots of good information. Being a computer nut and computer pro hard drive space is the least of my concerns. So I think I have a good handle on it n ow I just wanted to know how others were dealing with it.

arphot there's a lot of truth in what you say. One of the reasons for the question was that I learned some new tricks and while working on some photos they looked so much better then the originals that I couldn't see any reason to save the originals. Donwitz thats part of the problem being a computer nut my wife says I'm a pack rat or a horder. If you could see some of the computer equipment around here you might agree with her. Didn't want to continue with photos saving things I might never use again. So I just wanted to see what others do.

Disk space is not an issue. I backup to a portable hard drive that I only use for that purpose. I just started shooting in RAW and would always keep them but I wasn't so sure about the jpegs. I just didn't see any reson to keep someting that seemed to be of no use. Thanks for your advice.

I would like to know how some of you handle your editing in PS. My question is how do you handle your photos after editing. Layers are great when playing with a photo but when I get done with a photo and wonder why I would ever want to keep the original it seems dumb to keep all that extra data. Do you save the photo with the layers or do you flatten the photo getting rid of the original. I just don't see any any reason to save something I have no reason to keep(these are personal photos not clients photos). Am I off base here?

I have Photoshop Elements 9, Lightroom 3 and Portrait Proffesional 10. My question is should I purchase CS5. I am not a proffesional but I am getting more and more into photography and enjoy working with digital photos. I use all three programs but I really only use Lightroom for storing my photos and minor items. Almost all my touchup work is done in PS 9. The reason I am concidering CS5 is that I can buy it for $214 including shipping and tax.

My problem is I don't know what I will gain by buying it. Is it worth buying at such a great price?

Sound to me that you made up your mind before asking the question, since you debunk all the advice given . Good luck with your gray market lens.

Many times I take a picture that is a once in alife time shot, not because it is great but because there is no chance to take it again. So I usually take at least 3 shots of most pictures. That said when I get home and find that it may be under exposed or over exposed or what ever, I am more than happy to use PS to tweak it. TG for software like PS.
