Looks like you have the equipment for a successful outing. Few years past my wife and I spent 3 days in DC. Took a tour day 1. Seen more than what I would expect to see had we done it ourselves with traffic and parking issue, etc. The tour really pack in the number of sites visited.
That evening we returned for night shots on our own. Day 2 we revisited locations where we wanted additional photo time.
As everyone has stated way too many sites to see for a short trip.

Nice work. Shooting in the cold weather can be a challenge. Working with gloves adds a level of dificulity. You photo captures "winter" and allows us to forget about the cold metal camera.
