What an absolutely fascinating place. The entrance to the cave is very interesting, as is the cave itself.

Great set. Looks like a lovely place to visit. Love the wine glass chandelier. Did you taste any of the wines?

Enkoyed the post and pics. We were on North Padre last week, riding horses on the beach. However, we came over the bridge from Corpus Christi, so we missed the Ferry adventure...

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. North Padre is a neat little place, and I very much enjoyed roaming around. I even saw a deer in the parking lot of the boat launch area, and one of the guys who was leaving with his boat said that there were coyotes there as well. One never knows what one will see until you make that turn down an unknown road...............

Nice shots of an interesting selection of birds!

Thank you for the compliment. I had a great time looking and finding birds that I had not seen before - like the Bittern and Kestrel.

Yes, you still can and the pier is still there! You can also go down a little further and enter the National Seashore Park and "bird Island Basin! I live in Corpus and go there from time to time!

If I ever go back to that area, I will consider going to Padre the way through Corpus Christi, although I drove through there on my way to and back from the King Ranch and really don't want to repeat putting myself in that traffic and the spaghetti roads..............

Oh, what a magical place. I am afraid that I would never want to leave there. How far is it to the uninhabited island? Those groups look awfully small compared to the distance between the islands.

Absolute tell them that and say hi to Lori for me. They have been having a wonderful season so far. There are super photos coming off of their Facebook Page. I know you will have a good time. Enjoy!!!
