Jim,
Kiss her, thank her for getting something(s) she liked, and be thankful for her. Remember, you can not take it with you...I have never seen a U-Haul behind a hearse.
“A letter of reprimand is better than no mail at all!”
John
That is a great quote, but not the one I was seeking. Thank you for posting it though.
John
Sometime last week someone posted an absolutely great quote. It was something about “bringing people down to their level” and “the last refuge of a pathetic mind”. Unfortunately I failed to copy it and cannot now find it, although I have been through three days worth of UHH. I also could not find it doing an internet search. I am please asking whoever posted that quote to repost it.
Thank you, John
The skipper of the newly commissioned nuclear attack submarine called an "all hands" meeting on deck before getting underway. He admonished the crew that any male crewmember caught in the women's quarters would be fined $100 for the first time, $250 for the second transgression, and $750 for the third time. When he had finished his warning, an old sailor in the ranks held up his hand. The skipper asked, "do you have a question, chief"? The chief said, "yes sir, how much is a season pass"?

"A letter of reprimand is better than no mail at all" certainly an old Navy saying.
Yes, the Photomic FTN had a different pentaprism with a built in meter driven by two mercury cells. The shutter speed was linked into the FTN finder through a keyed knob extension. The FTN obtained the F-stop with a small pin on the back of the lens that fit into a protruding lever arm on the FTN finder. It worked extremely well. I got one in 1969 and have used it extensively. I still have it and it works just as good now as it did when it was new. It has only been into the shop once, and then only for a cleaning and calibration. It is a true work horse.

"A letter of reprimand is better than no mail at all!" Old Navy saying.
The only thing that is clear here is that I am not going to be drawn into an argument with you. You are far too vehement and agitated by this typo.
"A letter of reprimand is better than no mail at all"
No, I do not agree. When I looked at the message the first time it was quite obvious that it was a typo, anything else does not make sense.
"A letter of reprimand is better than no mail at all"
It was a typo. If you look at a keyboard the "k" is next to the "l", also the structure of the sentence indicates that the positioning of the typo cannot be a noun. Maybe you should lighten up and go back to your safe space to avoid any more distress.

I also have the same lens. It appears that your lens/camera are front focusing just a little. Other than that they are very nice.

Super, Excellent, Fine! These are great. I, too, am envious. So many of them are truly wall hangers.
Fantastic Work.

Your second shot is utterly fantastic; it took my breath away. Superb work.
"A letter of reprimand is better than no mail at all!"
This great video was sent to me recently. It truly was a kinder, gentler time, and I was lucky enough to be a kid then. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I have.

The only way that I can see is a used one from one of the big, established, and RELIABLE sellers. The lens was built like a tank, so unless it was dropped, there is not much that can go wrong with it.
Good luck shopping, John
