This week's challenge is all about rocks. I'd like to see your take on rocky things--both man-made and natural. Here are a couple to start: the first 5 are man-made, the last two are from Mother Nature. Enjoy and
I am looking forward to some creative shots.

Great challenge! Here are a few.

I've mentioned several times the construction project we were doing at our church. The bottom part of the 48' plaster wall in the basement dining hall of our 111yo church was crumbling and we decided to remove the plaster and replace it with bead board wainscoting - simple, right? When the plaster was removed we found a section of lath to be rotted and when that was removed down to the studs it was discovered that a cast iron waste pipe had cracked, releasing moisture and nasty smells. Sooo ... the studs had to be cut out to remove and replace the pipe, then the studs had to be replaced, wiring and new receptacles installed, vapor barrier installed, a plywood base attached, and then new baseboard, bead board wainscoting and chair rail installed! We finished 5 days before the Presbytery meeting! And, in case anyone is wondering, except for removing the lath and the rotted waste pipe, Chuck and I did all the carpentry work as it really was a two person job, not something that would have worked well with a group of people who didn't really know what they were doing. One of the other elders and his wife did a wonderful job of replacing all the florescent lighting in that huge room, something I wouldn't have wanted to do!
I've mentioned several times the construction proj... (show quote)

Great series showing the progress!

Please send out prayers to my brother-in-law Steve and my sister Judy (in the middle) Both have some major surgery this week. Judy on Tues. aortic valve replacement and an aortic aneurysm repair. Steve has to have his heart shocked to get the rhythm back to a healthy pace.

Hugs everyone and thanks from a worried sister...

My thoughts are with them for an excellent outcome.
