I recall one of my submissions to Tampabay Camera Club with the hodgepodge of ever which direction wires ... my photo was taken in Argentina. The audience made it known that it was not liked, but the judges gave it high marks because of the theme.

Take the camera and lens to a strength testing lab and have them tell you the yield strength of the camera mount. It will be a noble gesture for you to then report that the camera denigrated by adding an imaginary 100# lens.
I converted a small body Nikon 1 N1 to do IR, it has interchangeable lenses and have an adapter for older Nikon big body heavy lenses, I never gave it a thought it would tear the front of the camera apart supporting the large lens. Typically with a large lens because it has a large hold to surface, we support the lens with the left hand and fire the camera with the right. I think you worry too much.... take a tranquilizer and enjoy photography

Mine ended its life... "elements of printer require professional replacement" Later after storing the printer in the dumpster, i found out it was the waste ink sponge... easy to remove and clean by soaking and squeezing to dry then replacing... my printer would have survived another 5 y.

Cameras and lenses for the most part are better than what we use to display the results. The new AI post treatment make our old 2000 low resolution photos new and modern looking .. They will look good be it a print or 50" TV... also the eye/mind perception is quite limited.... Oh, lit us not forget the lighting on any print be it a 4x6 inch or Billboard.

Same here, for the most part, PSE and PSPro are the base to hang our plugin on, and to do basic tool modifications, ie. Crop, Straighten, etc. Topaz is the chrome do-dads that make my edit programs function.
