Got the offer to go fishing in Northern Ontario at the Twisted Toque Fishing Lodge, and brought along my DJI mini 3 pro, and although the weather wasn't the best for the whole trip, got some good shots on a couple flyable days!

My first concert I ever went to, in West Palm Beach in 1970 was the Carpenters. Karen had a unique and beautiful voice!

I just used Blurb for the fist time this past month for a church friend. Ease of creation and quality was very good. Only complaint was the turn time seems long ( 12 days) -

But I may be spoiled from the other vendor I've used and gotten same day printing - Walgreens! I've actually got great results from them for personal projects and some times they have a 50% sale. Easy to create too!

Are you telling us the truth? You don't have any computer in between the Apple IIe and the Mac Studio?

It is the truth! I had no APPLE computer after the Apple IIe and the Studio (well - one before the IIe).

Now I did have a very LARGE number of MS DOS and other Microsoft desktops and laptops too numerous to count between then !!!

My last Apple computer was an Apple IIe.

But, I bought a Mac Studio (M1 Max, 32 gb memory, 2gb SSD) in December, and do love it - handles all thrown at it, and haven't looked back. Loved it enough that I needed to replace my old Lenovo laptop (found that it didn't like to process the new denoise feature in Lightroom) - and got a refurbished MacBook Air M2 this past week with my income tax refund!

Good price, I just bought a refurbished one from Nikon recently for $545. Wished you were selling yours last month!

I worked for Motorola Solutions two-way business from 1971 to well.. 4 years ago (!), and in the late 70's early '80s we got an Alpha Micro Computer for our Service Shop, which I programmed and set up for the service and inventory. Rack mounted PDP11 derivative, had a 10 MB CDC Hard Drive - 5mb of which was removable! It was also rack mounted and weighed close to 40 lbs! Those are the removable platters on top. the top of the drive opened and you'd place the removable drive inside...

I also wouldn't trust that much data on a single drive. It would be awesome on a 2 or 4 bay NAS, where if one drive fails you could replace it with no loss of data!

Your download speed is fine. Your upload speed sucks. I thought that the ISP limited the upload speed and not the router/modem. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. If this is true, then switching to a new router won't help.

Yes, but sometimes the upload speed could be a problem with the router. I have a continual battle with Cox on our router at my church office, because at least once a week I'll get an upload speed as you have shown. A reset normally fixes it up to 10mpbs. Cox has replaced the router but still have to occasionally reset. Maybe not the router, but a reset clears it..

I have had 2 DJI drones, and currently have the mini 3 pro. If you got the DJI RC (one with screen) it makes setup and use a little easier than having to use a smartphone for use.

As far as flying goes, it is a very stable platform, and if you go slow (as you should in the beginning), it is pretty easy to master. As setup out of the box, I think that all of the obstacle avoidance stuff is on.Read the manual and the how-to videos. There are some excellent you-tube videos to help a beginner.

It is probably the easiest to fly drones out there - with decent video and photo cabibility.

Good Luck!

I too have used a PC sent the beginning of time, (although my first computer was an Apple +; not counting my college courses using a IBM 1620 & 370), I've been using a Mac studio now for about four months and really love it. Been running Lightroom, Photoshop, Affinity suite and Davinci Resolve without any issues whatsoever. They all fly! Planning on trading in my four year old PC laptop for an M2 air. Gaming is the biggest tradeoff.

As a 48 year employee (now retired) of Motorola Solutions, #21 is not correct! Their first product was a battery eliminator in 1928. It would allow a battery powered radio to work on house current.

In 1929;
"A radio parts company founded by William P. Lear (yes - that Lear) was located in the same factory building as Galvin Manufacturing Corporation. Lear technicians, including chief production engineer Don H. Mitchell, were experimenting with radio technologies. Despite the worsening economy, the markets for automobile and radio technologies were growing rapidly. Paul Galvin realized that consumer demand would continue. He decided Galvin Manufacturing could develop an affordable radio that could be installed in most popular automobile models."

"Birth of the Motorola brand
Paul Galvin wanted a brand name for Galvin Manufacturing Corporation's new car radio-something memorable. He created the name "Motorola" to suggest sound in motion (from "motor" and the then-popular suffix "ola"). The Motorola brand name became so well-known that Galvin Manufacturing Corporation later changed its name to Motorola, Inc."

McGuire's in Pensacola Florida has had such a sign for 30 years, but a few years back...

DESTIN - There is still a place for a little bathroom humor at McGuire's Irish Pub, under an agreement between the owners of McGuire's and the state.

Confusing signs on the bathroom doors at the pub have played jokes on customers for years - sending women to the men's room and vice versa.

The signs have been up for 10 years in Destin and 30 years in Pensacola.

But, Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation recently threatened the Panhandle tourist landmark with closure for "Lack of signage properly designating bathrooms.''

Under the agreement reached late Saturday night, the restaurants will be required to install an additional set of doors to prevent any embarrassing incidents.

"When you walk in the front door of the bathroom, and you walk into the alcove, before you get to the stalls, there will be a swinging door that will be labeled men or women as appropriate,'' said Holly Benson, secretary for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and a former state representative from Pensacola.

This was in 2007!

I have been using Keepass for over 12 years, which is an open source password manager:

https://keepass.info

You keep the encrypted database of passwords on your own computer or favorite cloud account, and it allows syncing with all of your devices. It is an awesome alternative.

Doesn't have a fancy GUI but includes password generation. Oh, and it's free (donation accepted!)
