As for SD Card, I usually order mine from Amazon. Make sure you get the class 10. No problem with Sandisk or Transcend.

I never use refurbished.

I shoot Lexar Professional's, only...300mb/s, 2000X, in my Nikon D7000 , 64GB in slot A, (For NEF's only), and 32GB in slot B for (JPG's)

Very pricey, but worth it. (On Amazon: $120.00 for the 64, and $75.00 for the 32.) They do go on sale once or twice a year where one can save 20-40%!

Interestingly enough, I have never come close to running out of room! Last night, I shot over 550 images, in NEF RAW and JPG-Fine. (3.3gb in JPG, 9.2gb in NEF) (Just love the double slot 7000's!!)

(I probably have misunderstood what the original OP wanted, as I was sorta responding to the quoted comment on cards...so...sorry!)

I had considered an external HD for storage, but after putting in an SSD HD in the laptop, and the laptop having an SD slot, I just copy my image files to my laptop for storage until I get back to the office and move everything to the serverand it's RAID drives. Transfer from SD card to the SSD drive in the Laptop only takes about 30 seconds if the SD card is 20% full.

It's a great museum, if you go there make sure the corvette plant is giving tours at that time.I was at the museum the first week of June and no tours were being given then.

If you want to get a behind the scenes tour of the plant, any day of the week ['cept Saturday's and Sunday's] buy a new C7 or ZORA, and pick it up in Bowling Green!

Thankfully our summer pattern of afternoon thunderstorms held off until a half hour past the end of the car show! I was pleasantly surprised that over 200 vehicles braved the threat of inclement weather and appeared for the show, many from 70-100 miles away. These photos and Part 2 to follow represent the variety of cars we get at this show.

Nice looking yellow '55 Bel Air HT Chevy. I wonder if was a pure stock car...265" v-8 or 230" 6.

Had one when I was a kid, but not stock...had a 327" with a 471 GMC blower on it. Gas guzzler, but we could afford gas in those days, Hi test Chevron Supreme (White pump!) was only 18 cents a gallon in South Bay/Redondo.

Can't wait for the 2nd set of images you took!

Taken by my daughter, with her Samsung, Galaxy Note 8! Can't believe the sharpness!

In case you are wondering, we have a display for the next week at the Wilbur May Museum, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, in the 3 acre arboretum called Dragon Lights. It is a traveling Japanese lantern festival that is quite a wonder to see.

Khutz Inlet, British Columbia, about 60 miles south of Prince Rupert. The last pic is off the coast of Baja. I sailed her 22,000 miles from 2007 to 2012.

Ok, I was thinking more tropical....

You could send a **WHOLE** bunch of the images from or of the boat if you like. I wouldn't complain! LOL. And..as we *did* touch upon Corvettes and car shows: :::GRIN:::

65 Falcon Sprint, Pro Street, and C6 Corvette

C6 is a series of Corvette. Mine is a C6, made between 2005 and 2013. The current series cars are C7's, and I *believe* the new ZORA (Mid-engined Corvette) will be a C8. Hopefully, if the car gods ordain it, I will pick up my new C7 in 3 weeks.

The Cat..Tall mast? Winged keel? Nice boat. Ever go to Baja, Hawaii? Orient? O.T.W.?? Pictures??!!!

Reminder: Hot August Nights, Reno, Nevada, 2 weeks! (August 4 - 12)

Channel Island Harbor. Oxnard, right? You live on a boat? Kind? Length? You a ham? I do the Baja Marine Weather and Sea Condition report on Thursdays, at 0815 on 7233.5.

BTW, My favorite, Outside of mine, of course, is the hemi powered Save-On shopping cart.

Great shots....I like that you actually get down on the 'ground' to get some shots. Few Photogs do.

IMHO, of course, the B&W is too cluttered. It needs color to differentiate the plants.

The last two images, appear to have been taken of the same clouds, shot a few (?) minutes apart?

I am *NOT* a birder, but the bird appears to me, to be an immature Chickadee.

Definitely some Cu-Nims building there. Wouldn't want to be caught under them in a small plane, the uplift currents and downdraft flows would be horrendous!

(They are SO beautiful though.......!!)

OK, the last boat in this series, then back to a few cars.

This is the "Mowitza II" a 1928 Ditchburn Viking, about 27 ft. long. (very rare)

It's getting wet! No cover over the cockpit! ARRGH!!!

(Oh wait..it's a boat....hmmmm...!)

Nikon is now using plain white boxes for their refurbs. I'd hate to rely on a salesman telling the truth. : )

Specially if they are located in New York. <<GRIN>>

Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Some outfits (Not majors!) clean the device, test for operation, and call it refurbished. I always ask, if not stated, Is this a Nikon refurb? If they hem and haw or say no, I won't buy it. Another way is if it only has a 90 day warranty, it is NOT Nikon. Dead give-a-way. Nikon (Only company I am familiar with) has a 1 year refurb warranty on all the gear I have ever purchased. Even if the product has a 1 year warranty, I would ask *whose* warranty.
