My question and or observation has always been this. I find that here on the hog there are many self-proclaimed expert's and techies and yet I have yet to see 2 agree on just about anything this subject included. I would imagine there has to be some technical data that either supports or disproves any particular myth/fact without going into the actual Pttens and or copyrights of each manufacturer. But I'm sure and/or may have many agree and or disagree with this statement in and of itself

I have observed that most of the regular posters here are very knowledgeable of the subjects presented. The issues seem to be:

Posters misunderstanding the OP’s original post. (Correct answers to the wrong questions)

OP posting a confusing or vague question. (Correct answers to the wrong questions)

Two or more posters debating(arguing) over a point not relevant to the OP’s question.

Thank you Hogs for taking the time to try and help out other photographers. we can all work towards being clearer with our posts and responses. You can google for answers, but for me I prefer to take advice from the knowledgeable/experienced photographers here.

Here are a couple pictures taken with the FX 70-300 4.5-5.6G VR with a Kenko 1.4 teleconverter @ 300mm. Close cropped in post processing. The little fellows were a ways away. Nikon D5300.

Is there any loss of quality when moving pictures from a WIFI capable camera(such as a Nikon D5300) to an IPad Pro using the WIFI, as opposed to using the SD to lightning connection? Is it the same with both JPEG and RAW?

A friend recommended the Kenko 1.4x pro 300 teleconverter to me. Both he and I have had excellent results useing it with our Nikon 70-300 VR 4.5-5.6. Both auto focus and exposure modes work on my d5300 and d7200, he uses his on his d7000 with similar results. Keep in mind you will lose 1 fstop with a 1.4 teleconverter. This is my favorite combination for birding and taking pictures at a Zoo. It gives you an effective 630mm with a DX sensor, in a pretty small package. I also use the Kenko extension tube set for macro photography, they work equally well.

I am relatively new to using BBF. I have my d7200 set up using - AF/C with priority set to "release" and AF-ON only - This functions both as a focus lock by pressing and releasing the button, or continuous by pressing and holding down the button. The one thing I would add, for those new to BBF, there is no beep and auto lock when depressing the button, like the shutter button does. The focus led in the viewfinder will turn green when subject is in focus, and you lock it by releasing the button. If you continue to depress the button it will continue to focus, if you or the subject is moving.
