Hoggers
Recently acquired for my display cabinet a Beseler Topcon RE Super. It was the second SLR that I used some 55+ years ago. It has the standard 58mm f1.4 Lens. The lens has a 62mm skylight filter on it I am looking for a Topcon Lens cap that fits this lens. I believe that it would be a 65- 67mm slip on cap Don't see anything on the net. Perhaps someone out there might might have one in a drawer or box someplace they want to sell.

I switched over to an arca swiss gimbal for my legs years ago. I recently purchased here on the hog a RRS L Bracket for my D850. Have played with it a little. With my shorter lens, where I don't have the ability to change from landscape to portrait with the lens collar. It is just another tool in the bag.

I didn't realize who he was till I looked up his avatar. Yes I always considered Bob very knowledgeable and considerate in his posts. Safe journeys

Nice set but, sacrilege a RED F4U Corsair
I looked at the image and the red was so striking that I didn't even notice that it was a Corsair. A tad slower shutter could have blurred the prop.

As I have been having some weird actions on the part of my Nikon D5600 I contacted Nikon about the situation and they suggested that I first update the firmware on the unit, which is 1.03 and they say it needs to be updated to the current 1.10.
I have no idea of what is involved in doing this so am asking for opinions as to whether I, a newby, should try to update or send the camera in to Nikon and let them update it. I called up the instructions and it appears that it is something requiring more experience than I have. Positive assistance would be appreciated, trolls take a holiday.

No better time to learn. Read the instructions that Nikon provides. In fact I print them out and follow carefully step by step. It may take a couple of attempts but it really is not that difficult..

I am old enough that when a major rocket launched it was a significant "in awe" event... now the general population expect one success after another and most think little about launches... ho hum they are routine.

Photo #1 is well spiced and people will look to find the visual "wheat among the chaff." This interesting set is of historical significance.

Titles help the viewer... #2 the vast distance between the two images is a striking story... a title like "Soon The Moon" would make people think of the future. Thank you for sharing

When I post processed photo #1 I intentionally pushed it out as far as I dare to kind of get the infrared look so I could make out the palm trees and capture as much rocket light as possible as it was to the naked eye, a red pinhead.
Nice set, Quite remarkable

Thought this was a cute photo of a fox squirrel holding his front legs up. Sorry it is a bit fuzzy even after I had run it through Topaz A1.

Cute squirrel. I don't mind them so much. But I hate the Raccoons on my feeders....Bang Bang

I just purchased a Zeiss 100mm Makro, Planar T*, ZF2 from Rick from NY. here on UHH
Rick was very accommodating throughout the transaction.
I most definitely recommend his reliability.

Hey that's a great lens and deal. If I didn't already have one I would snatch that up in a nano second

From those of you who have both bodies, please comment on how close the controls and menu systems of one matches the other. I have the David Busch manual on the D850 but I'd like to know if buying one for the D500 makes sense. Thanks for your help.

For all practical purposes the two bodies operation, setup are the same. Usually the longer lens is always on the 500 but some times I have to look at the name badge on the front before pulling a XQD card out for downloading .. Battery door is turned 90 degrees
