I see a lot of work that is being posted and I am just amazed by the quality of them. I have never gotten shots like these in my life. I am currently getting back into photography and right now and mainly still trying to learn my new camera. I bought Paintshop Pro X9 Ultimate on a great deal and have been playing around with it to learn how it works and what I can do with it. I have never done any post work before, but so far I have been able to figure out the basics and have improved some older pictures that I have taken with a point and shoot in the past. I am curious to know if the images that are being posted are greatly "photoshopped"? I would love to be able to have this type of quality, but have never seen it from my own shots and I'm not sure if it's because I don't have the right post processing experience, or maybe I don't have the right software, or my photography skills are severely lacking (which I know they are). I chose paintshop pro because I did some minor graphic design with paintshop in the past for website creation and also the price was dirt cheap. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This is an amazing shot. I like darker images like this and the green light really sets it off. Perfect.

I use the Black Rapid also. Very comfortable. I have the sport version with an additional tether to make me feel a little more secure with it hanging on my side.

I hate people that drive 3 mph under the speed limit, don't use their turn signals and don't understand how a four way stop works. We all hate something so you can either avoid it or just deal with it. I take pictures on my phone for memories, which is what these people are doing. I use my camera to try to capture a moment. If you don't like all the people in your way, South East Asia is the wrong place to go.

I am waiting on this flash as well, but I don't think they are out yet. I am going to wait to see the reviews after they come out. The first version of this flash has decent reviews, mostly over heating issues that most would not experience. I, like many others, would prefer the Canon/Nikon equivalents, but for the price difference it is a little to hard to ignore. It also seems like the Yongnuo flashes get better and better on each new release, hopefully this will apply to the new 600.

I would like to first start out by thanking everyone here that have posted so much great information. I have been reading a lot of posts and have picked up a lot of information. Some of you have been very helpful with your information so I decided to actually join in on the conversation. I have been away from photography for a long time. I have been on point and shoot for 25 years now and have just decided to get back into the hobby on a more serious level. My wish list on B&H is getting longer and longer, but I have things in order. I currently have a Canon 80D with the 18-55 kit and 55-250 kit, as well as the 50 1.8. My next purchase for lens is a 70-200 2.8. Hopefully soon, but waiting on info for the new Tamron that is coming out. I am also looking for a tripod, was looking at the Zomei Z818C, but am having a lot of trouble finding good honest reviews on it, so if anyone knows about them I would greatly appreciate and information you can give me. I know that companies are out there that are great, but I can't really afford great, I am looking for really, pretty good at a great price.

I have a lot of different interests when it comes to photography, first is portraits. I'm a single father and the memories are the most important thing to me. Second would be a tie between wildlife and macro. I enjoy animals, but bugs freak me out, but I find them extremely interesting. This makes my second lens choice difficult, but it will probably be a macro lens or a 150-600 lens. I do a lot of research before I make any purchase and I'm by no means rich so every purchase for me is truly an investment.

I'm glad to be here and I hope that I can contribute to all the great discussions that I have read here so far. Again, thank you all for the help that you have given me already. And no, I do not plan on posting any of my photos just yet, some of your work on here is a bit intimidating.

I am amateur at digital cameras, but want to buy a fairly easy to learn and use DSRL camera. I have researched Canon and Nikon. Any advice at which company may have what I am looking for. I like taking scenery and wildlife photos and pictures of decorations at Christmas, inside and out. Thank you.

I recently started to get back into photography and I had the same problem. I did a lot of research on the subject and found what was right for me. I had it down to the Nikon 7200 and the Canon 80D. I decided on the 80D because I have always owned Canon and I was use to it. You can't go wrong with either Canon or Nikon. Third party lenses also make prices of lenses equal for future purchases. I saw a video on youtube recently by DigiDIRECT about the Canon 77D. It seems like it could also be a learning tool but quality is still unknown. I, like so many others, recommend getting your hands on the different cameras and seeing what feels right to you. A good camera store will be able to answer your questions and help you reach a decision on your needs and budget.
