Wow, KayakingUSA! Having been a woodworker and now a photographer in training, I can appreciate the items for their finesse and your talent. Then the photos go to the same level. Thank you so much.

Thanks. The best complement a woodworker can get is approval from another woodworker. Thanks for your comments.

Amazingly detailed. Beautiful perfection. We love to go camping so this is particularly interesting. Thanks for posting.

Thanks. We love to camp and I host at Morrow Mountain State Park campground one month a year.

Very impressive. I can't cut a straight line with a table saw.

That could be useful in some of my projects because there are not many straight lines to cut, mostly curves.

Back in the day, I had a 1978 Honda Goldwing. I can't imagine how an intarsia of it would look.

I hope to find out one day. I want to get some special wood to bring our the colors.

That is amazing work and detail. How many hours or years did you put into that project? What type of woodworking tools do you use to produce something that beautiful? Thanks for sharing your pictures.

I worked on it on and off for about 3 weeks only working several hours at a time. I use standard shop tools. The cherry and walnut wood I have are in 2x6 boards so I have to start by cutting down to size which includes cutting 1/4 width strips and gluing them together to make wider boards. Different colors are obtained from different types of wood glued together. Some pieces are small so caution is important to keep all my fingers.

Beautifully done. Love the detail and finish. It reminds me of intarsia wood art. I'm not a betting guy but I think you may do intarsia wood art also.

I bought an intarsia pattern of a Goldwing motorcycle but have not got up the nerve to start it.

Fantastic pictures and better woodworking. Great detail and bet that finish was hard to get on the wood. Son works at Forest River, alright if I send him a pic of this?

I enjoy woodworking as well and know the effort and time you put into that project.

Thanks for looking and your comments. It is ok to share the pictures. I don't sell my work so sharing pictures is all I get out of my work.

WOW....I only live a quarter mile from a Forest River manufacturing plant....your model is far and above anything "they" have sitting out in their shipping area........EXCELLENT work!

Thanks for looking and your comments. I enjoy making models of things I own or have made an impact on my life. I have a school bus like the one I drove in high school. A Ford tractor like we had growing up. Military trucks from my time in the army. Combine that is used to cut the grain in my fields I rent to local farmers. Many other trucks and tractors that have pasted through my life. You can see some of these on previous post I have made.

Oh, my! You are an artisan. And good photographer, too! Great detail on your model!

Thanks. I enjoy the woodworking just as much as I do photography. Woodworking in the winter and photography in warmer weather when I can get the kayak out.
