Recall the 1950's when the TV remotes first began to appear. We heard at the time the advertisers were aghast. Even they couldn't stop progress.

I tape everything I watch. Even the evening news. That way I speed through the commercials. Prime network, which now has commercials, doesn't allow this. We're giving up Prime when our subscription runs out in June.

I believe that was Gnilla Knudsen (pardon my spelling) in the "take it all off" ads.

If you haven't already, check the podcast from the Telegraph of London on the Ukraine war. Drops on the west coast at 9AM. It's called: Ukraine the Latest. Really well done.

$15 shipped to lower 48. There are some yellow-highlighted areas, but, otherwise, is excellent condition.

What planet is this statement from. It is not a properly syntaxed question.

I guess at what might being asked. I never buy anything on Meta/Facebook. Not monitored or regulated enough to make it safe. I buy carefully on Amazon and eBay all the time, and photography items from B&H, Adoroma, KEH, UHH.

Quite right about Facebook. Most of the ads that are frequently displayed such as: "Ralph Lauren 80%" off or "Store Closing..." are complete scams. Facebook will remove them only after enough folks report them. Facebook Marketplace may be better but I still shy away because of the slimy practices on the main Facebook page.

I am very much appreciative of the response to my question/quest. I'm replacing a Sony DSC-W230 which is 15 years old and hopelessly outdated. Nevertheless, it's been a good companion and still works flawlessly. Before starting this topic, I had no idea of the number of models available. Your input is meaningful as I plod through the on-line reviews of those cameras you have mentioned or recommended. Fortunately, I not in a rush but I've got the bug to finish this search and will let you know what I come up with.

BTW, I'm not so interested in a long reach as I am wide angle. Connectivity and EVF are emphasis's (what's the plural of emphasis?), among others, I'm pursuing. Thanks for your help.

There hasn't been much discussion lately about true pocket cameras. (Ones you can actually slip into a front pocket or cargo pants side pocket.) I know cell phones have encroached in this domain, but I curious if hoggers have a preference as to currently offered models and which one is the best.

Keywest, Did you sell it back? I've been mulling this over for the two weeks since you posted it. I'd like to get it behind me and will only know if you've returned it. Thanks
