I wonder how Negril is after 50+ years.
When I was there there were no telephone service in Negril.
The exchange rate was $0.88 Jamaican for an American dollar.
We stayed at a place called "Yellow Bird" cabins, it had 185' beach frontage.
We sent $150 american to a woman in Minnesota, and we got a two bedroom cabin, with hot and cold running water
and a cook for a week.
Not bad for two 22 year old boys on their first vacation.
I love taking shots of people taking shots.
Especially when you can see the image in their Phone.
It tells the whole story.
Staten Island ferry gives you a great view of Lower Manhattan, on the trip back.
Great shots of Lady Liberty also.
The promenade in Brooklyn Heights will give you fun shots.
Gantry Plaza State Park in LIC will give you great views of Mid-town, and the Pepsi sign
Less is more in the crowds
Rockefeller Center tree- Radio City, St Patricks Cathedral, MOMA are Between 50th and 53rd streets, between 5th and 6th Ave. go to the Top of The Rock, 30 Rockefeller plaza to see great views.
Times Square at night, Central Park in the day time.
Go downtown to the Battery, its the southern tip of Manhattan, and take round trip ride on the Staten Island Ferry.
The views and shots you can get of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty are well worth the time.
I walk around with a 18-400 zoom, like I said , less is more
