there seems to be a line on the trees with the first picture I would clone that out so it looks more natural.

on picture #2 shooting a white bird you have to watch the exposure. there is no detail in the bird and you cannot see the eye. The position you captured is great but you need more detail its to blown out

That line magically appeared it is not in my stored image. I agree with your comments re the exposure I recently went to a lecture that discussed this very topic and the recommendation from a professional bird photographer was to bracket the exposure for white birds. Sometimes when a shot makes itself known you just have to point and shoot birds do not wait for you to set up the camera.

Thanks to all. I can't imagine why the ISO is so high in this picture I must have focused on the bird. I looked at other pictures I shot in the series and the ISO was 400. Live and learn.

Here is a picture I captured last May of a great egret checking its wing. I would caption it Pre-flight Check but that name was used in a winning picture at the 2014 VPPA convention. It was a picture of a Great Blue Heron in the same configuration. I have posted two images first as shot second one with some edits in both PSE and Lightroom 4.

Thanks for looking

As an avid canoeist I have always been fascinated with the shapes of waves ...... especially one like this which curls in on itself and actually breaks upstream. This usually happens when a swift current meets an obstruction, probably submerged rocks.

I like to use images like these as backgrounds or layers

Here's another one for your consideration. The reflection on the glasses was totally blown, so there was no easy fix.

Your copy was very low resolution but here is my attempt... I did some work on the glasses of the woman and the man, straightened the picture & removed some other distractions also.....

Thanks so much I really appreciate the help you provided. Excellent work. That 1.3 MP was my first digital camera it was like being the kid with only 8 crayons. Now have a 23 mp (like 64 crayons)

Might be nice to eliminate some of the extra people and the food on the table for the op's purpose.

Refurbished is the only way to go. All it means is that it has been out of the box. Only way I buy.

I need someone in the Virginia Beach / Norfolk VA area who owns either a NIKON D200 or D300 to help me test an SD to CD card with a EyeFi MOBI card. I am going to be working an event for the Military Aviation Museum. The photog has both of these cameras but is not available to test the process. Please PM me or email me at haguefamily@cox.net
