I need to replace my binoculars and would like recommendations on a quality product that is rugged. Thanks in advance.

I recently purchased 'extremely-close focusing'(0.5m/1.6ft) PENTAX Papilio binoculars, and they are most useful.

This camera is from the 30's, takes 120 film; and has the choice of 8 full-size or 16 half-size exposures. Bellows good, lens clear, shutter slow. $125.00 plus postage. cgchief

I found a manual for it, that you can send on to the buyer. Would love to have it, but of no use to me. Gary

Thanks, Gary, for finding a manual; but different model - mine has no exposure meter.

Good afternoon. I noticed the SCSI cable with the scanner. Is there another interface, or an adapter that could be used? Also, is the software included? I have an early 2008 MacBook Pro.

Thanks for your interest. Yes, software is included. Those are the cables I used with Windows; I don't know anything about MacBook.
I think a SCSI card goes with it, must still be in the XP.

I'm not really sure where to post this.

I have a BlackRapid Sport sling. As most know, this uses the tripod socket to carry the camera on a strap across one's chest at hip level; the camera can be slid up the strap to shooting position.

I use a K-5 with auxiliary grip, genuine Pentax, and as backup a K 10 also with genuine Pentax auxiliary grip. Are these grips strong enough to support the camera and lens? If using a large zoom with a tripod mount I'd of course use the lens tripod mount for the strap.

Same situation with some SLR's. I like to keep a winder mounted on:

LX
MX
ME-Super
Super Program

Are the tripod sockets in these winders strong enough to carry the camera and mounted lens? Naturally if using my Tokina 80 - 200 f2.8, an all-metal monster, I'd use the lens' tripod socket.

Many thanks for any user stories or advice. I'd sure hate to rip the tripod socket out of the winder or grip, and have one of these lovelies crash into the concrete! :XD:

George, I am too chicken to hang my Pentax K-3 or K-10 by the tripod
socket; and they contain my tripod 'quick-mount' plate.
I use OP-TECH bino/cam harness, like all their stuff.

I have other (recommended) lenses coming too, but I was looking for something that I could have really blurry effects with, aside from being in focus on the head, and right at about 135 mm.
It was not expensive. . . maybe something to play with and then sh*t-can. Dunno till I get it. Maybe I even found an old gem. Doubtful. . .but anything is possible.

I think you have lens that has oil on the aperture blades, they stick at the
widest opening. If you are mechanically inclined you could disassemble and clean with the blades with naphtha (lighter fluid). But, use it as is. I have two lenses I used in that condition for several years; get good results with proper exposure.

Hi all! I am thinking it might be good Christmas present to get a macro lens..I need suggestions! I have a Pentax so probably a Tamron? Feedback very much appreciated!

Hi, Seattle! Look at the PENTAX Papilio (butterfly in Spanish) binoculars;
won't fit your camera, but they focus to 0.5 meter (about 18") and you can 'macro observe' in real time. Two powers available, 8.5 x 21 and
6.5 x 21. I recently purchased the 8.5, really like them.
Pentax is my brand in digital and film.

Anyone have experience with reviving a dormant printer. It has been unused for about 6 months and has clogging issues. Outside of the usual recommendations about power cleaning, does anyone have an idea about flushing the lines and print head to clear the clogs. (Would loading a set of spare empty cartridges with a mild ascetic acid solution clear the head or is some other solution suitable - either commercial or home made?)

Thanks in advance.

Contact 'Cobra Ink System' they have full line of tools and parts that might be necessary; and most of all, good information on what to do. Epson only.

Computer guy here. Which antimalware do you have? We like Malwarebytes (the free version is fine), Superantispyware and Spybot. None of them is perfect. I would run one after the other to see if one of them picks it up. Let us know how it turns out. There are more extreme measures to try after this, including doing a System Restore to take the computer back to the way it was before this started. Hope this helps.

I have and used both
SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

I used the 'report issue' and forwarded your post to ADMIN. I've seen somewhat the same issue a few times over the past few years. ADMIN is a user and a PM to their attention is the best way to alert them of an IT type problem on the website. In addtion to the details you provided, include the date and time too.

I received some further info

Should I open this?
