Always enjoy train images!!!!!
Thanks. Just 2 more
Pic #3 is the same train, however we are looking south.
Pic #4 is a southbound train to Sydney, a couple of hours away and we are looking north. This is the type of train I came up, from Sydney, on.
Same train as pic #2

Fassifern, NSW, Australia, was a junction station to Nearby Toronto and also a nearby colliery.
First pic is a scan of one of my mid 1960's transparencies taken, whilst visiting my parents who lived in nearby Toronto. The Garrat would have been picking up coal wagons from the nearby Newstan colliery.
The second pic shows an empty southbound coal train (we are looking north from the station platform) on 31 March 2022. The tracks to the left lead to the colliery, which has been placed in care and maintenance since 2014, however the site is still used for coal stockpiling before being exported. The branch to Toronto closed in 1990 due to low passenger numbers, and has been replaced by a bus service known as "the train".
Thanks for looking and do you want to see more from this location, taken this year?
Nice, and some good memories.
Thanks.
This is where our children lived, on a farm at Merringo Gap (NSW), for about 6 years.

Thank you. I have never seen a kangaroo around here, in suburbia.
