Just ordered the 'Body Only' from B&H however it will be the 2nd D750 - I have to get a repair done on my first. I would suggest getting the package deal with the 24-120 mm - I use mine 80% of the time for landscapes, seascapes, portraits, commercial photography, it is very versatile and allows you to frame a composition very easily and quickly, the quality is great as well. Good luck with your decision and purchase.

It appears you have gotten plenty of responses on use of LR or other processing software, you can achieve the same results in any 'Non-Destructive' processing software program for the most part. I personally like to make basic processing edits in Lightroom. With any software you should concentrate firstly on the basics; lens corrections, leveling, cropping as needed, highlights, shadows, whites and blacks as well as exposure as needed likely in that order. Most software will go beyond that so from there tone and color matter to your end result as well as a little clarity/structure and finally sharpening just enough to not create hallows. You can take images further with adjustments such as cloning/manipulation and additional layered results in Photoshop, On1 Photo RAW 2017 and likely others but the key to a RAW edit is 'Non-Destructive', you can create anything and still never permanently affect your RAW image data with the correct methods, hope that answers your question, you can watch many videos on all the methods for editing - it is a learning process, have some fun with it.

You have several alternatives however it will likely cost you something to make the switch, hopefully you capture RAW to utilize the alternatives:
Adobe CC, Lightroom/PhotoShop/Bridge - Great alternative with minimal cost - $10.00 month, Lightroom has your basic adjustments with relatively easy learning curve - PhotoShop and beyond a higher learning curve however worth it if you are serious.
On1 Photo Raw, Browes/Effects/Layers - This one has initial costs associated to it however may be an easier alternative to Adobe, they are making a lot of progress and are in competition with Adobe. I can be used as a plug in to Adobe products.
TOPAZ Labs - Best use as a plug in to PS however their PhotoFXLab product will run all the products. Lots of capability with all the products included but will cost you to get the package - they do run specials at about $250.
Apple does have a new product out that can take over for Aperture, don't know too much about it though.

I own the suite, got them all at discount prices, go to their webinars and a discount code is typically distributed. My go to products are 'Adjust, Clarity, DeNoise, Textures, Impressions', The other products are great as well and have used each one at least once. They all play well with Photoshop and Lightroom as plug ins - I would recommend this suite of tools but take the time to learn them from the experts through webinars and YouTube, have some fun.

I just got the medium Intuous Pro, it takes time to get used to if you are a proficient mouse user. What I've learned is that my workflow has slowed down initially, it's a lot different than clicking around with a mouse, it's more deliberate you move the pen to the point in which you want to initiate your click function. I also have changed the porpotion of the tablet that I use, so I don't have to move my arm as far to imitate the selection. My advice is if you use one screen only you may just need a small device, if you have an opportunity to borrow one from a friend try it out. It does take time to get used to, I'm still feeling my way around and keep my mouse close if I want to do something quickly for now.

Central Oregon coast south, so starting at Lincoln City for the best coastline type photography. Lighthouses start in the North coast and you could spend a week or more capturing them as you head south. If in Eastern Oregon check out the Painted Hills, Crater Lake, Volcanic National Park, Sisters, and maybe the Columbia Gorge. You can also find many covered bridges, old barns, river shots and waterfalls so it all depends on how long you are planning your trip for. While winding your way down the coast make sure you find the Devils Punchbowl and Thors Well as these are photographers choice locations. You won't get to everything however I've given you something to start with.

Woman and her 'whomever' standing at a freeway entrance/exit asking for any handout as vehicles rush by at rush hour, very sad, gotta feel for the sorrow these people have.

My D750 tends to underexposed as well at times, it occurs based on the given light from where you are shooting from. When in a shaded shooting location I just set an overexposure setting, it's not difficult it's just part of the flow. In fact most good photographers say to underexpose a shot because it is so easy to correct in post processing and it preserves the highlights. It's great advice and works quite effectively for me. Of course if you only shoot JEPG than it makes the PP'ing a little more difficult and if you just take the shot directly out of the camera than your hosed.

Perfectly, had some issues with Yosemite (LR only) but with the update to El Capitan that issue went away. All CS6 products work great on this system.

If your coming from the North I' try the North entrance however your path may take you to the East entrance. If I had to choose, I'd take the North, you would travel through the Beartooth which is beautiful photography locations. One day and night just isn't enough time to get through all of Yellowstone, I'd plan on a longer stay to travel all areas and take in all the glory. So, if you use the North entrance Use the South Exit and travel into Jackson, on the way you can see the Tetons and all their beauty and you'll likely see some wildlife but once again you'll want to stay longer and say forget LA. I think the quickest exit to LA is the West entrance however I would check the maps and probably bring some chains or a good 4 wheel drive. Have fun.

Ive used Nikon View NX and Capture NX, thought it was ok, it takes your NEF files and will convert to JPG just like any other post processing software. Of course they will say that something will get lost if you use another product, it is their product, I am interested to know what would be lost however because I have never heard that.

I still use LR, it gives you more functionality in your pp'ing and you can incorporate PS, ON1, TOPAZ and other products in an easy workflow.

If you so desire you could utilize The NIKON software to download from the card or camera because once downloaded you shouldn't loose anything after that point, it just would add another step in the process. One other thing to consider is many photographers utilize the LR functionality over NIKON with no mention of any loss whatsoever, good luck in your final choice and if you find out what they believe is lost, let us all know.

On1 is a great addition to your workflow, it integrates with LR and PS, make sure you get the Photo10 the latest version. You have the ability to use their effects or create your own, also it enables brushes, the smart brush is quite amazing, it also provides a layers panel that is a bit more intuitive than PS however in my opinion not as effective. It is generally part of my workflow from LR to Photo10 to PS and back to LR. Another you can look at is Topaz, more expensive however does provide a lot of flexibility, really good deal this week.
