We saw three groups of them in two different locations. Two different groups were on Highway 212 as you go from Tower Junction towards the Lamar Valley and the North East Entrance. Before you get to Lamar Valley you'll come to a small forested area with a pond on the right and a forested hill going up from the road on your left. We saw two different groups in this small forest and in the area near the pond. One group was there (in the forest up on the hill about 200 yards from the road) on several occasions and there were always lots of cars parked on both sides of the road and people in the woods about half way up the hill viewing them. This area was about half way between The Yellowstone River picnic area and the Specimen area (find with a google maps search for Yellowstone River picnic area). We also saw a bear in this same small forest. The other group was on a rocky hillside on the right (heading west) not far inside the west entrance of the park.
