I've got both a whole house backup generator and a UPS on my computer. The whole house might lag as much as 3 seconds which will let my computer shutdown but the dedicated UPS has a lag of less than a micro second which keeps everything running. I can run the computer or about 2 hours until the battery is worn down when it beeps to get my attention. My model doesn't support auto shutdown but some do at about 3 times the price.

I've found the NFT Handbook by Fortnow and Terry quite useful. They cover a number of platforms listing the pros and cons of each as well as a step by step guide for minting your own NFTs. https://amzn.to/3ILb1SW

I've had good results with hand tools, it's where I bought my Torx drivers and other specialty tools for my IT work. Power tools have been about a 50/50 break though, it's the reason I switched to all DeWalt power tools.

The Mac frequently uses HEIC files. Windows does not support that format yet but it can be made to.

Of course you can always export the files en mass from Apple's Photo.app in jpg, TIFF or png for more primitive operating system.

Many circuits require more voltage to meet their power requirements, P=VI, it's more economical to raise the voltage than the current. The true working voltage of AA, AAA, C and D batteries is 1.25 volts which would require 8 batteries to reach the same levels of power. Would you prefer a smoke detector that takes one 9v or 8 AAAs? Which would be more economical?

Please see the Movie "Strange Days" it uses slightly more advance technology but it deals with some of the issues which may arise from this type of technology.

I carry a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS100 with a filter adapter (off label adapter) on it so I can use any filter I want, I use CP the most. A Leica designed 25-250mm (35 mm equiv), ƒ2.8 - ƒ8 zoom. It has the usual PASM shooting modes with full manual control. The shutter ranges from 1 sec to 1/2000 sec. You can use your phone to control it. It has an eye-level viewfinder which can be programed to switch automatically between viewfinder and LCD. I carry it along with a Hoya threee filter set in my cargo pocket when ever I go out of the house. It belongs to the travel genre of cameras.

In the mid fifties through the mid sixties a friend ran a MODEL AND HOBBY SHOP/ Small appliances repair shop in a
Chicago suburb; in addition to trains, planes and cars he repaired small appliances. He had, of course, a source for parts. He told to me once that his livelyhood depended on fixing toasters, irons, can openers, etc. The models and hobbies were for fun; he taught a lot of us about building, fixing and operating models as well as equipment through the models we kids bought. I really doubt he could survive doing that today. How many of those shops exist today? Sad times, JimM

The larger one is a P-51 but I believe they're both called John Waynes by the Marines.
