just got my Benro Tad38c w/B3 ball head. What an improvement over my aluminum tripod and "trigger " head. Well worth the expense. Happy. Will use original tripod with Wimberley head. Thanks for opinions
I should of clarified that the other issue was the inexpensive head that came with the tripod. couldn't support my 150 -600 zoom. I put a Wimberley head on it and it supported the lens fine. The Wimberley is just not practical for portraits or other stuff. Hence the search for a quality tripod and ball head.
thanks, I got the benro with the B3 head
I have an aluminum tripod that's pretty sturdy but the trigger head would not support a 150-600 tamron for sky shots. Got a Wimberley for that and now I would like a sturdy tripod for long exposure images. I like the damping of carbon and the benro head. Kinda pricey for an enthusiast but I think I will grow into it. Thanks for input
The tripod I am looking at, an Induro carbon fiber model that costs exactly twice as much as the aluminum model with a .8 lb weight savings. Is it worth it. I am not a professional
what are the settings on a d7100 and a 17-55 f2.8 to take images of blurred water features ( dancing fountains ) in the bright sunlight.
would an automatic welding hood be enough protection.
I set the shutter at 1/125 and let the ISO take over. have shot indoors at iso 8000 with good results
what are the benefits or downside of leaving the cpl filter on my 24-70. f 2.8 lense. it seems to take good images indoors and outdoors.
it was 6 months out of warranty. I've had no issues with my other nikons. I really like the tilt screen on the d5300 for moon shots. d500 wasn't out yet or I would of considered that one. and yes, nikon batteries in all.
I had a d5200 and I bought an aftermarket battery grip and the included batteries. after about a month I went to turn on camera, nothing. tried without grip, nothing. took to nikon repair center here. $352 estimate for board replacement caused by batteries, according to nikon. didn't fix. sold on ebay for $80 and bought d5300 so I could use grip but with nikon batteries. all nikon in my d7100 and d3s. learned my lesson and would never use any other brand but nikon
I lived in Anchorage in the mid 70's just south of Elmendorf AFB, saw mt. McKinley on a regular basis during the summer. If you saw it during the winter you knew it was going to be a ccccold day
I've had the same issue with my trail cams. I can view photos with my laptop or desktop but I can't view them on my camera. Also I can't view camera cards on the trail cam. Fishy
I've had other grips and one of my main gripes is that the tripod lug is not deep enough to accept the screw on my Wimberley head
