Thank you for your answer. Beautiful images. I like the framing you did with the branches. Nice to have a different perspective, you do beautiful work.

Mike, I know you have posted shots of the Golden Gate before, but they seem to get better and better. These are stunning!

Mike I've shot the GG Bridge from many angles but I've never seen the angle in #1 and #3. Can you please tell me where you shot this from?

I have photographed this same view many times while living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Good job on this capture. I always enjoy your photography.

Hello HH'ers,
I am going with the wife for a little R&R to Branson, MO in two weeks and hope you will all make suggestions as to where to go in the area (120 mile diameter) to photograph. We have never been there and although we may take in a show and do a walk through the town we are not glitz and glitter tourists. We are really more interested in the great outdoors and enjoyment of God's beautiful Earth. We are an older and severely out of shape couple. We like to hike but cannot handle steep inclines. We are hoping for some Fall color and are looking for flora and fauna. All help is appreciated and we look forward to all responses.

I don't know where you plan to stay but check out "Top of the Rock". It's a beautiful resort in a small town next to Branson. The resort is very photogenic in itself with views of Table Rock Lake, waterfalls, a golf course, that sits high upon a hill. It was built by Jonny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops. Google "Big Cedar Lodge" for information.

Another place to photograph is "Dogwood Canyon", just a short drive from Top of the Rock. The best time there is when the Dogwood trees are in bloom, sometime in April.

Also, be sure to see the show in Branson "Samson" if it's still playing.

Have a wonderful time and get lots of photos.

Hi Photo Bugs,
I am beyond excited to be taking my first trip to Moab the first week of June. I want to hook up with a local photographer for obvious reasons. Don't want to waste time or get lost in the maze. I have reached out to one who posted on Moab website but have not heard back yet. I am a hiker and am traveling with husband.
Any info or advice you can share?

I was there about four years ago and used a company called "Moab Photo Tours, LLC, Jon Fuller was the photographer/owner, phone number 435-259-4700. I don't know if he's still in business or not but it would be worth a phone call. I learned several things from him that I use today and got some very good photos thanks to him.

I've been to the upper Antelope Canyon and you will need a Navajo guide and tour to go through it. They go in groups, maybe 20 at a time and it gets crowded. No room or time to set up a tripod, so everything is shot off hand. It's very interesting but not ideal to shoot. I would encourage you to go anyway as it is a one of a kind experience. There's also a lower Antelope Canyon, but I understand it's difficult to navigate if you are impaired or not in good condition.

There's also a place to photograph close by called Horse shoe bend. You can google it to get the info you need.

Have a good time and get many great photos.

In mid August my wife and I will be taking two of our grandchildren - 12/10 to southern Utah to do the circle of Parks, Zion, Bryce, Coral Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, etc... I have studied quite extensively Upper and Lower Antelope and Canyon X. My issue arises about having to make reservations for these to be able to see them. We have a plan but the timeline will be based on numerous items that it would be hard for us to actually pick a time to set up a reservation. I am leaning on Canyon X only because of the crowds and better opportunities for capturing the images that I wish to capture. Since so many of you have already experienced this beautiful area I was hoping that there might be some other slot canyons that you experienced outside of the Tourist Traps that will provide some of the same experience without going through all of the hassles of a reservation. I have found a few but the knowledge of UHHer's would really help me in locating slot canyons away from the crowded Antelopes. Might add that hiking is not an issue for us so if we needed to that it would be fine. Thank You for any info that will be provided.

Going to Israel for 8 days this November. I need to take a wide angle to medium telephoto zoom with me. I will be using a crop sensor D7200. Need something light since I'll be carrying it all day. The ones I have are too heavy to lug around all day. F4 or better. Thanks in advance for your ideas....

I don't know Nikon as I shoot with Canon. I use a 24 x 105, f4.5 lens on a Canon EOS 5D Mklll body. It's light weight and a good glass. If Nikon has something similar, then i would recommend that.

The Valley of Fire is a Nevada State Park about 60 miles south of Las Vegas It is truly an amazing place and a target rich environment for photographers. Easy to see why it is called the Valley of Fire. It was developed as a WPA project during the depression.

Downloads are a must to fully appreciate the fiery colors.

I've been there last year and I know Elephant Rock is difficult to shoot. Great job and nice set.

Photos from an awesome hike in Zion Park Narrows last September.

I understand that it is wise to check the weather before venturing into the narrows there as flash flooding has some people to drown. I think it was just last year that the flooding took several lives in one family.

Have you considered Arches National Park and across the highway, Canyonlands National Park. Both are extremely photographic, especially Arches.
