I have been using a Joby sling strap that uses the cameras tripod mount and have no issues with it. I wouldn't use it with my Nikon 200-500 lens. I find it very comfortable and handy as I can pull down on the front of the strap and the camera will slide to the middle of my lower back, totally out of the way and perfect when riding our bicycles, or hiking. That is chromatic aberration -- purple fringing, and the lens is responsible. We see it most often along very high contrast (dark/light) edges. Tree branches against a sky would be one of the most common cases which you have here. It is very difficult to design a lens that is free of CA so we all tend to live with some degree of it. It can be successfully removed during software processing and your camera's JPEG processing software should be taking care of it.

If the camera isn't getting the job done you can save a raw file and remove it in processing.

It is very apparent on the tree branches. Greg.

I needed this for my wife. She made me this a couple weeks ago.

One characteristic of the 16-35 f/4 lens is that it's physical length is fixed. It does not 'telescope' in and out as you change focal lengths. This may mean nothing, but it hasn't been mentioned yet. Greg.

We are driving this March to New Orleans from Florida for a week and plan to visit the USS Alabama on our way. I spent a night on the USS Massachusetts in Fall River MA when our son was in the Cub Scouts. Quite the war machine, though times have changed. Greg.

I really like the way you include a detailed description of what you post. And your pics are a 10 too. Greg.

I bought a refurb D7200 from the Nikon store for $699.00 I think. It is essentially a DX version of the D750 FX camera, as far as the menus, and overall features are concerned. It has more clicks than my D750 now. It's a fine camera. Greg.

Santa brought me the Z50 2 lens outfit with the FTZ adapter, thanks. It's only been a week, but today I took some incredibly sharp pics of a scrub jay that landed on my wife's arm. I was maybe 3 feet away and had the 50-250 lens at 50mm, while another was sitting on top of my head. It's going to take me a few weeks to get really comfortable, my plan is to have this as my go to travel outfit, replacing my D5600. I tried my Tamron 16-300mm on the FTZ and the camera was searching for focus indoors, haven't tried that outdoors yet. I can't find any faults with the build quality, it's a keeper in my opinion. Greg.

We did Arizona in March 2018. In addition to the Sonoran Desert Museum, there is the Titan II Missile Museum SW of Tucson, tour of about an hour. Sedona is a must, there is also a Red Jeep tour outfit with about a 2 hour really bouncy ride. We did a tour of the south rim, took all day. Also a bit (25 miles?) west of Sedona is the Verde Valley tourist railroad, about a 4 hour ride. We also did the Phoenix Nascar March race. Have fun. Greg.

A few years back we bought a good quality camera (Lumix LX100) for my wife and the deal included some extras, that being 2 extra off brand batteries and a charger. The camera is primarily for vacations, so after several months I took her camera out and planned to recharge the batteries. One of the off brand batteries had been left in the camera, and it had begun to swell. It was touch and go but I did manage to extract it from the camera but it took several minutes. I have had the same experience with UPS (uninterruptible power supply) batteries as they age. I threw them out and bought another Panasonic battery. Greg.

Really, really, really great shots. We went today (Christmas Day) to find the area closed to motor vehicles. Someone said it's been closed for a while. We walked to the gazebo, lots of gators. A GBH, great egret, and a loggerhead shrike were out and about. Greg.

We watched the launch from Port Canaveral, about 10-12 miles from the launch pad (#40). Your shots are better than mine! A typical stage 1 lifts the craft to about 40 miles and around 5000 mph I believe. Greg.

The D750 will recognize the Nikon DX-style lens and will automatically crop the resulting image file to 3936x2624 (10MP). If you haven't done so already, visit the Nikon site and download a PDF copy of the D750 manual. This topic is covered on page 118.

Consider selling all the various DX-style lenses. The camera detects automatically only the DX Nikon lenses. Look at the Nikon 24-120mm F/4.0G AF-S ED VR as your walkaround replacement.

Also be aware that the D750 may/will remain in DX mode after you put an FX lens on it. Greg.

There's hardy any difference between the 18-55mm and 70-300mm. That 15mm difference is not enough difference to warrant purchasing another zoom lens.

I agree with CO. On a recent trip to Italy I took my D5600 (it's just easier to carry around than my D750). I took my Tamron 16-300mm, and the Nikon 10-20mm, both DX lenses. About 90% of the time I used the 10-20mm lens. The wide angle really helped getting indoor and outdoor photos of the many glorious Duomo's (Cathedrals), as well as markets, squares and narrow alleyways. Oh, and what a shame about Notre Dame. Greg.
