Looks very much like Northern Nevada. Very nice shots, but what does MBR stand for?

Alby, sorry for your loss! I like the first photo the best. Most people don't realize what an awesome car the Miata is. I just sold a 2012 Miata with 39,000 miles a few months ago and am regretting it. I can only imagine how fast your car must have been with a turbo. Just the stock 2019 181 HP one that I drove was awesome...but with a turbo...wow.

Thanks for your input and comment! I never got to drive this car much. I bought it in December of 2020, so it sat in the garage most days until Spring. It took 6 weeks to install the turbo, due to the tuning sending and getting data from back east. I finally got the car back but needed to log some miles on the EcuTek module, then send that data to the tuner, Fab9. So, I drove it three times after having the turbo installed, before it burned up, and it never got to it's full potential. I can tell you, from 55 MPH to 100MPH only took a few seconds, though! The 2021, I replaced it with, has 181 HP and that's really just about right.

I like the expanded space in front of the car as seen in #1. It makes me want to look ahead. Really nice light and color in all three.

Thank you...

Sorry to hear about your car. It is beautiful. I personally like the first photo, it shows off the car a bit more.

Thank you! There's one for everybody...

The new car looks great. I love a happy ending! I always liked the looks and handling characteristics of the Miata line. But the N1 and N2 were a bit too cramped for me. When we sold our last Harley (too many people trying their damndest to kill us while texting) I looked at the N3. Did a test drive and bought the Club off the lot on the same day and have never regretted the decision. And it's wonderful to raise the hard top (in 12.5 seconds) when rain threatens. Sure beats looking for an underpass to pull on the rain gear! Best wishes for many happy miles!

The newest MX-5 convertibles are super fast to open and close...like 3 or 4 seconds at the most. Living in Northern Nevada at 4,600 feet above sea level the sun is pretty intense in the Summer and it's too cold in the Winter for top down driving most days. Consequently, most people with convertibles never put the top down. The RF is great for top down or top up driving. The ND are pretty small inside and actually a tad bit smaller than the orignal NA version. It pays to be a small person some times! At 5'-7" it fits me nicely. Thanks for the great comments and stay safe out there.

I like the first for two reasons. It looks like the car has someplace to go (more space in front of it) and the highlights are great. So very sorry to hear you lost your car! I have a 2014 MX-5 Club retractable hard top in mercury silver and black with 60,000 miles on her. LOVE the car. We've traveled to California, Canada, the south, etc. from New England many times. I'll never trade her in. I'd do an engine rebuild first. (Hope you don't mind the posted pic. From one MX-5 lover to another.)

Thanks for your comments! No, I most certainly don't mind you showing your MX-5! The NC Model is the one that really started to catch my eye. I have always wanted to drive a Miata, knowing that they really are one of the best sports cars in the world and quite possibly the most fun car in the world. Once I saw the RF, I had to get one. That in itself is a pretty good story, because once I found the car I wanted, I flew to Eugene, OR and drove it home...in December! It was epic! The RF Club with the BBS wheels, Brembo brakes, Limited Slip and Bilstien shocks are hard to find, especially with low miles. I have replaced it with a 2021 which is identical except it has Recaro seats. Because of the nature of the used car market and the fcat we carry replacement coverage, I received enough for my 2018 to buy new and only be out of pocket about $3K...this one will remain mostly stock.

Excellent photos! Sorry to hear the car was lost, though. What caused the fire?

Thanks for the compliment. See my reply above to yssirk123...we lost almost everything we own in a mere 20 minutes and will never know why. We would have had no vehicles if I had not gone to work that morning.

Absolutely beautiful images!! What caused the fire?

Thanks for your comment; we will never know what caused the fire, which is rather unsettling. There was only a handful of possible electrical sources, two of those being battery maintainers. And there were only two natural gas sources - water heater and furnace. Two other unlikely possibilities were my car which had not been driven for five days and my wife's Ford Escape which had not been driven for 2 days. After a month long investigation by a forensics investigator, the official cause is undetermined.

Having just had a turbo charger installed, on my little RF, and needing to log some mile for tuning data I headed to Pyramid Lake which is 20 miles from home. I was greeted with awesome light and beautiful skies. Little did I know this would be the last drive in this awesome little car; five days later it would be completely burned up. I am super grateful these shots turned out, allowing me some enjoyment, even after this tragic fire.

Which of these three shots is your favorite?
