Perhaps it is time to update your computers, I think Ai is demanding compared to non-Ai programs. I had problems login thinking I needed a S# vs my email and Luminar password.

Ok once into the new world... I needed a guide and the tutorials were a bunch of fast talkers. Reminded me of DOS and the manuals written not for the learner, but for the boss who already knew DOS. I needed a Tutorial that held my hand and lead me down the menu slowly; I found a great tutorial on Luminar Ai, Nicole Young looks at each click within each click... slow and methodical examination of the menu:

I totally agree with you regarding the tutorials. Most are useless to me. Per your previous posts I tried the Nicole Young tutorials and they are great! My 80 year old brain can finally follow the lessons. Thanks dpullum, you have saved my sanity.

My download was not a problem, and I did reset my password** however, signing on screen is a significant problem at least on my computer. The eMail address used for the purchase and password was needed, OK. there was a neat ontop screen for entering the info, but as soon as I move my cursor to the ontop screen it expanded and became inactive, OH MY !!

OK, got creative... went to my Word and entered both. I used ^C and quickly ^V to paste the eMail address the then the password before the ontop screen funked to big and inactive. The trick was to hold down ^ [control] with the little finger and index finger on the V to give a quick paste. A few tries and got it to work.

**Password... they asked for eMail used during the purchase and also the password. Do they want my eMail password? NO. One word was missing, Skylum before the word Password; that would have clarified it for me.

Worked with Ai last night, was I impressed? NO! Why, well I get the feeling that this is a whole new world and I was stumbling around and so I was not impressed with my ability and the program is probably a great advance.
--------------------------
Many long years ago in a floppy disk world, I was working with a new database program. By way of training, I purchased an audio training tape with a he and her trainers. Verbal is clearer than video sleight-of-hand now used for training. A simple example, "Go to the upper right of the screen, you will see a dash, a box, and an X these control the screen size and position. Try them."

If I had a verbal trainer for the Ai program, then it would tell me what to do and how to find menus etc. Watching a video is like watching the pea-nutshell game on the streets of NYC... you can not keep up with the pea nor the small view of sliders and menus on the screen which is mostly of the photo being modified. The training videos are quick, because the trainer knows the program and has been using it from the early Beta stage

----------------------------
Aditional complaint for all training; I have watched many Topaz training sessions... the complaint is they do not have us look at the photo and listen to their analysis and what they plan to do. No, they just wander around and make and reverse changes which are often subtle changes.

Analysis is important, when active in the camera club I would put the photo on my cabinet above the coffee brewer and see it cold. I would then circle things to change, thus I had a road map of improvement for my photo .... make changes... print, and put the new improved photo on the cabinet door. Stepwise I cleaned and mod the photo, a lot of work, but it trained me in my beginning live of editing. Visual analysis is key to an improved photo.

I totally agree on your complaints regarding training videos. I often wonder if there is a time limit on the video. Do they really have to hurry through the lesson? Give us old folks a chance to absorb before moving on.

Check the printer driver software that came with the printer. ICC profiles for your printer & epson papers were most likely included. What software do you use for your photos?

Photoshop CC

For the printer select the paper profile. Display profile is for the display and the the printer/paper profile is for the printer.

Ok. Great to the point answer. Thank you!

I'm sure this is very basic to most, but I just have to ask: Ok, so I calibrated my monitor with Spyder5 and created a profile. Then I want to print with my SC P600. I'm using Epson Glossy paper. When in the P600 driver settings, should I choose the monitor ICC or the paper ICC?

You're right to observe that - I noticed it as well and don't know why that happened - gotta ask the lens, I guess! Glad you liked this in general!

Edit: I looked at this again and think it is because the candle is to the right of the mullion and the rays then extend past it. Does that make sense?

It's a mind-boggling thing!

I may be wrong, but shouldn't the "rays" from the candle be behind the window mullion? The candle is inside the room. SueScott, please believe me when I say that you are a photographer the talents of which I could only aspire to. I'm not trying to be critical, just didn't look right to me.
