Well, not surprisingly, the SCOTUS just stepped on a woman's right to choose her health care. Many female gop members even stood proudly in front of cameras today to "praise god" (have they ANY critical thinking ability?) and push aside the will of the people and instead follow scripture. They are apparently oblivious to the separation of church and state. Justice Thomas is even suggesting gay marriage and contraception be reviewed. I'm wondering why he stopped short of interracial marriage? I bet it would pass in a bunch of the southern states. Would someone please ask him for me, on camera?
It is interesting how hypocritical the conservative gop can be. Less governmental interference? Yeah, right! Less taxes? Well, who is paying for the medical bills of those low income women who can't travel to a sane state and get an abortion? Less regulation? Who are they kidding? Physicians pass national tests, and medical schools need to be nationally accredited. So why isn't there a unified national health care system? Why is medical care in one state not the same as its neighboring state? We are all, after all, Americans.
BTW, I won't be spending any money in states that don't support women's rights. It's a small inconvenience, but it's what I can do.
