sometimes you get lucky with a good background. This hawk was a trained bird at an Audubon birds of prey exhibit. he is released and the trainer tosses food up which he goes after. The sky was just right that day. Its so good , im accused of Photoshopping it in. Its not, its out of the camera as you see it. The only thing i did to the image was some cropping

One mans inertia is another mans arm cramp. But I understand your point if you can handle the weight

I have a D7000 and use 2 batteries and its more then enough power for any outing
