3rd party batteries DO NOT offer the same performance as Sony OEM Info-Lithium batteries. They don't last as long, give as many shots, and in some cases, aren't usable in either the cameras and or grips.....
^^^Unless they figure out how to crack the "Info-Lithium" patent, performance in E mount's won't match that of OEM batteries.
I'm thinking the NEXT generation of batteries for mirrorless cameras will perform even better.......
Paradigm shift in thinking and expectations....
WAIT: Sony seems to have change those expectations YET AGAIN!!!
With the new Z batteries you can have your cake AND EAT IT TOO!!!

The answer to your question is NO. The Nikon sensor has 14% more pixels and a better dynamic 14.6 V 11.9. Put simply you will have a lot more detail in the highlights and shadows of your images. And I owned and used a 5D11 until it's death.
I don't know Dennis......

Battery drain?
Not exactly DRAIN, which implies an excessive loss in voltage over a period time while the battery is not in use or in storage.
No... Mirrorless technology is much more energy intensive than what MOST of us are accustomed to with DSLR cameras. Why? Because of EVF's and LCDs used for to subject identification and framing.
OVF's don't need electricity to do their job.
But by the SAME token, OVF's are EXTREMELY limited in comparison to EVF's in the information they can impart on the photographer about the scene and or what will ACTUALLY be captured/recorded by the imaging sensor.
That factor alone makes the energy cost worth it.
BUT....
Like ALL technology, as time moves forward, desirable technology ADVANCES, hence the new "Z" batteries from Sony.
The battery life/charge holding disparity between mirrorless cameras and (the soon to be extinct) DSLR's is rapidly vanishing....
I have one for MY Canon. It is EXCELLENT for sure......
Have you tried it on your Sony E mount?
^^^True... but that FD 50mm is SWEET. Sharp with good contrast if it's the 1.4
I had the A7RII and ONLY used it with adapted lenses.
The image quality was OUTSTANDING to say the least.
