I have it figured out. Thanks. Turned out there was a head that had a screw sticking out. Must have pulled the screw out when I took it off. I feel so stupid. The screw was there all the time. I am buying Loc Tite.

Make sure you use a temporary type loc-tite in the blue(medium strength) bottle or the purple(low strength) bottle and not the red(permanent) labeled bottle. You may want to get the attachment stud off someday.

Really nice job on this, black and white works very well on this image. That one belongs on the wall just the way it is.

Good for you Sir, thank you for caring, I wish everyone would care enough to take a taxi when they had too much to drink. My brother was a cop in Hartford, Connecticut and twice he had to make the dreaded courtesy call to tell parents that their kids had been killed in a drunk driving accident. Tough on the families and very tough on the cop bringing the tragic news to the family. Let's all have a safe and Blessed Christmas season.

Why is it so important to some people to have the original box that the camera came in, when buying used cameras ?

I have seen the boxes for the cameras and lenses on eBay selling for a minimum of $15 to as much as $35. Someone mentioned that Nikon doesn't service grey market cameras, there are 5-6 that they will service now. They are D7100, D610, D800, D810, and D4s, I believe there are a few more but I cannot find the entire list at the moment.

Why don't you look at an older used camera like the D300s or D7000 or a D700, in Canon land perhaps a 50D/60D/5D MkII excellent cameras in their time and still. I bought a used D300(not into video at all) a few months back and paid $275 for it, only had 2300 actuation's so practically brand-new. I love the pictures this camera takes and it has that wonderful professional camera build (all metal frame). I've had a D300s/D60/D40/D7000/D600/D610/Canon T1i all when they first came out and loved them then and was very happy with the image quality then and I think they still take great images now. It doesn't take the best/newest technology available to take great images, but I'm sure you know that. Just my 2 cents. I currently have a D610, D300, and a D7000 but unless I need the D610 low light capability I prefer my D300 to them all.

NIK works fine with 2017. Whatever you looked "deep" into is 100% wrong.

Me too - I have the new version CC 2017 and my NIK software works fine. I have noticed when doing adobe upgrades before that NIK would disappear from the menu and I would have to reload it, when I did a reload I always downloaded from the google site. I know Google hasn't updated it for a long time but I still do it that way.

For those of you that have USAA... You can do the same with them. I too have a lot of $$$ in gear and it's a smart way to go.

You are right teacherdad48 USAA is a great company to do business with and have been with them since 1972, my camera equipment and computers are valued at about $10K, my policy is $135 annually. Quite cheap compared to the peace of mind it brings me. I have an SUV so there is no trunk to hide the cameras/lenses in and I used to worry all the time when leaving some of the gear in the car. I still worry about it being stolen but not how I will replace it.

Great series Kurt -- Do you know why the one is called a cat snake? Certainly it's not because of it's looks.

Glad they found their freedom after all those years of Soviet and East German oppression, it certainly looks like they are having a great time. Of course anybody could have a good time after having consumed a half bucket of good German beer.

Hey guys! I love to take pics of trees this time of year when all (or most) of the leaves are gone. Here are a few I took from a hike last week. Can't wait to see what you have! Also, feel free to post more leaf pics. I am!

This is one I took at the Okefenokee Swamp in Folkston, GA
