Nice shots - like the framing of #1. Have been in that cabin when it was more stable and shot Tetons out front window.

Beautifully done! If things calm down this year, I have a trip planned to Yellowstone and Banif in September. We hope we can go. May I ask what your settings were and lens etc.?If I could get just a little of what you achieved I would be a happy lady. Much to aspire to!!

Thanks for your comments. Love Yellowstone, been there 2 times and want to go again. Haven't been to Banif, but on my photo bucket list. Sept. is great time to go. May I suggest that you drive over to Jackson for a couple of days if possible - Grand Tetons, Mormon Barn, Oxbow Bend and Schwabacher all not to be missed. So are so close.
Used a Nikon D750 with Tamron 15-30mm lens setting: f2.8, 20 sec., 2500 ISO, on tripod with cable release.

Great set of pictures. Thanks. But, I also wonder what equipment, exposure was used to get them? Stacking?

Paul, Nikon D750 with Tamron 15-30mm lens, F2.8, 20 sec, at 2500 ISO on tripod of course. So PP afterwards. No stacking involved.

Very nice shots - especially the last! Is that a single shot or quick stack? What equipment did you use and what settings? Any aliens while you were there? :)
Thanks for sharing!
Jon

Sorry no aliens or UFOs. All photos were single shot using Nikon D750 with Tamron 15-30mm lens, F2.8, at 20 sec.@2500 ISO on tripod obviously. Some PP done afterwards. Thanks for asking.

Fabulous. Great shots of the Milky Way. Well worth the effort. With all due respect, I do not like your signature watermark. It detracts from these beautiful night sky images, in my opinion.

Opinion noted. Unfortunately, in this day and age where people think they can take whatever they want it has become necessary to put watermark on images going into a public forum. I've had images "stolen" for person use, not commercial, before when I didn't watermark them. "But it was just so beautiful, I wanted to print it and fame it for my home office." Guess they didn't want to pay for a good quality image. Perhaps if I reduced the size might help. Also, the white watermark against the black does make it stand out more. Anyway, I agree that images are better without watermark and I appreciate your comment.

Great shot - see why it's a favorite. This is the other barn down the road to the left. When I was there, they were re-roofing it so stacks of shingles on roof. Didn't make for a great picture. The more famous barn is down the road to the right. Hope you got to photograph that one also. Again, congratulations.

Fun shot. Was just at COSTCO today where I overheard a guy on his phone say, "Hey they have that Modello beer that you like so well, or do you want the Corona?" Out of context may not be that funny.

Last week had the opportunity to go photograph the Milky Way with 3 other photographers. We practiced social distancing driving own vehicles, own sleeping arrangements (mine in back of my SUV) and maintaining 6 feet apart. Photographed on open cattle range near Rachel, NV, famous for it's Alien Inn - unfortunately closed due to COVAID-19. Late night/early morning of shooting since Milky Way did not come up until 1:30 AM.

Definitely #1 image - the square one. It tells more of the story and not having the tree cropped off is much better. All lthe dark and gray give the small lit window much more prominence. Great capture.

Tuesday broke free of the Stay-at-Home for a drive to the 7 Magic Mountains art installation south of Las Vegas. Lots of clouds threatenting rain. Wanted to capture the juxtaposition of colored rocks against the cloud filled sky.

Nice series. We have the first 3 Llardo geese. Having all this time at home just gave me an excellent idea. Need to set up lighting and background and start shooting.
