No, he may have bastardized your brain and your ability to dialogue, and apparently has, but that is on you, not him. And I will continue to attempt to have conversations without including him except if required, and in this topic and this thread he is most definitely not required.

I support the constitution, but not from a completely "originalist" view. Applying real world factors to intent is necessary to have a coherent and effective democracy. That doesn't make me wrong.

I support individuals' rights even if I don't share their beliefs. That doesn't make me a "groomer" or "traitor" or "baby killer".

I support following all laws to their fullest and support law enforcement. That doesn't mean that I will not speak out against officer brutality.

Trump becomes part of the discussion always because he/Bannon/Sessions tapped into and exploited a segment of our society who believed they were losing significance.

By wanting to be included, they tried to exclude me and others like me and we are fighting back.

Isn't it time to stop?

Applying "real world factors" is just another way of saying not following the Constitution where it doesn't suit one to do so. "Individuals' rights" is usually code for supporting abortion which literally means baby killing. Nobody decent is going to support police brutality but that has to be tempered against the actions of the criminal. And Trump does not need to become a part of many, and possibly most, discussions except for the fact the left is incapable of having a discussion without inserting him.

So do I!!

Why, then, do we have such different viewpoints what living those values entails?

For me, it means service at a church food pantry to community regardless of nationality, economic status, sexual preferences, etc.

For me, it means acting as a SHIP counselor to give aid to Medicare and Medicaid eligible residents.

For me, it means supporting CASA as an advocate for a child in the welfare system.

For me. it means service and support to Wreaths across America for vets.

For me, it means donating to schools, vet organizations, volunteer fire and EMT staffs.

Yet, in true trumpian behavior, your kind call my kind unpatriotic, anti-American, and lacking common sense. Go figure out that one!

Where to start. "Your kind" can't seem to have a conversation without inserting Trump. I've said nothing about him. I don't support him. I will vote for him given the choice between him and a senile dementia ultra-leftist Constitution hater. But voting for him when given no other choice isn't what you can't keep from bringing up all the time.

All those things it means are excellent, especially if they actually happen. The issues you brought in last are when you and yours work to redefine the Constitution to something it is not, to deny the rights it guarantees to everyone not just to opt to decline them for yourselves. When you support literally Millions of people illegally entering the country. So I applaud your works but your final sentence is not wrong when it comes to your politics.

Much of that was put aside on Jan 6th.

But, thank you for responding.

None of that was put aside, on any day, ever. Nor will it be ever, unless and until I am no longer able to physically stand. In that case I will acknowledge in other ways. But thank you for bringing something into the discussion that has nothing whatsoever to do with it.

I stand for the National Anthem.
I stand for military, active and veterans.
I stand for law enforcement.
I stand for treating all human life equally.
I stand for common sense.

Democrats, dumber than dirt. Common sense and democrat never co-exist. We should immediately deport every illegal found and send a democrat chaperone along with them, with strict orders for neither to ever return.

Your uncouth generalizations are very offensive to many. When we should be trying to work our way back to some level of civil discourse, you are not helping in any way. Do you have any thoughtful suggestions about how we can create respectful communications between our divided nation instead of splitting us more?

How about repeating that message frequently to those on the left who are incapable of any sort of discourse that doesn't include insulting nicknames and bringing Trump into every discussion regardless of the fact he isn't remotely a part of many.

Want to wear a mask? More power to you. Has nothing to do with any DNA entity except you yourself. Want to force others to wear one whether they wish to or not, no, that extends beyond your DNA and your right to choose.

It's a persons own business to wear a mask or not just like having an abortion or not. Private business.

Yes, and definitely no. But I understand your incapability to make the differentiation.

Well that explains everything that can't be discussed here. Very sad and not surprising with that bunch.
