Welcome Big T...... I think you will really like your 60d I know I love mine.
My first Dslr was a XTI and it was a nice camera and took good pictures then upgraded to a 60D and love it Just feels a lot better. I just got another 60D about 2weeks ago wanted to carry 2 cameras so I would have to change lens hate doing that.
You should be able so get some great Shots where you are Please post some of them, I would love to go out there again.

Good luck S S with your 60d I have had one for about 3 years and love it.
Last week I got a Refurbished one from Adorama for $539.00 us dollars. Just thinking that maybe the cheaps way to go if you want another one.

Welcome to the Hog. I think you will like it here most everyone here is very nice and willing to help if you have a ?
Please post some of you pictures I think everyone would love to see them alots of us are amateur clickers as well I know for myself I just like taking them and if someone doesn't like them they don't have to look :lol:

I like all your pictures very nice like the 4th one best of all.
Like you I have a 10- 24 Tamron and do not use it a lot, but it is very good on landscape.

I think they are very good sharp and focus is Great.I'm not a pro,but think they are very very good.....But what do I know have a 60d as well.

If you think you would like a 35mm prime I would set your 15-85 at 35mm and go out and shoot with it for a day or week at 35 and see how that works.

John..... thank you for your post I'm so glad that i joined the UHH and enjoy it so much and have got so many tips.
I see you are from Rockville I have been there 3 time enjoyed it and everyone was so friendly.
Now you can help me if you will....... Wanting to make a trip there and Brown County to see the fall colors was thinking about maybe around Oct 21th or so.

Sorry don't know what kind it is. It the only kind I have had this year and not sure we have any other kind.
I have a canon 60D and was using a 70 200 2.8L 1/1000 shutter and most were f7.1 and 640 iso was about 12 feet away under my patio on a tripod. thank you I have to try again some where a little better just picked 3 to show on the hog,but none where great.
