I'm looking for some advice . . . I'll be going to South Africa and outlying islands in the spring. Although I use a Canon 7D for my photography, I am not sure I want to for this trip. Reason: bulk!
With my 7D, I will need to bring my 17-40L, 24-105L and 100-400L. Don't really want to bring all this for safaris and such.
I am seriously looking at purchasing the new SX50HS . . . wide angle, mid-range, telephoto . . . it's all there, albeit with some constraints (although minor).
I welcome any comments and suggestions from everyone. Thanks.
Good point avenging. Does your response mean that you use GPS tagging? If so, which system do you use?
I am reading on apertureexpert.com about lots of problems with the recent Aperture upgrade. I haven't upgraded yet for that reason. Has anyone else had problems with presets, files, etc. as stated there?
I keep hearing good things about the Jobo unit which fits on your DSLR's hot shoe. I may break down and try it out.
Great question Pappy; I myself struggle with this. I even asked someone at a very professional and reputable camera store in Calgary about what he uses and his answer was . . . NOTHING! He thought that adding GPS data to your pictures will expose locations of your "secret photos". I don't get it.
