I really like the shot of the sun through the gateway. Well composed, leads the viewer into the shot.

Just a select few of many photos I took Sunday am 9/22/12 at the Botanical gardens in Largo, Fl. it a great place for homing in your camera controls and techniques used, it opens at 7am and theres never any one else there for the first few hours and you have the entire garden to yourself.

Hey Doc, looks nice. That building they call the beer can looks like a giant set screw to me IMO.

Thank You rufus1, yeah it does look like a beer can or a set screw, there was talk about putting a light on top and making it the worlds largest Lighthouse, that would be cool.

A buddy and I went there about a month ago for their Saturday guided hike not realizing it was an intro into photography class first then the hike. Started raining like a S.O.B. before the class ended, so we missed out on the hike. We plan on going again. Nice photos Dr.Z, hate that I missed out on the scenery and wildlife, but there's always next time. Gotta love those surprise Fl showers, anytime, anyplace!! lol

Hey Thanks for the comment talthaus! yep those surprise showers, you got that right, anytime anyplace! I knew about the photo class hike thing but never went on it myself but was always interested, I'll be going out there again soon when we get those cooler days coming up to get some early am sunrise shots with my other camera.

Sunrise at Tampa's Cypress park by Tampa bay just north east of the Howard Franklin bridge.

I through this one in for amusement because there seems to be a Flying Pterodactyl in the background, I really don't know what this is, its by TIA.

Very nice captures, and another set that proves that it is more the "eye of the artist" than the equipment used to capture/record the view!

Thanks Wahawk! I think one of the main key factors is having good"Composition and Balance"
