I shot this at a biker's rally at Poole UK. Let me quickly say that I know liittle about bikes. I think it's a Harley Davidson but no doubt you'll let me know if it isn't. Towards the bottom of the picture you can see my reflection as I take the shot.

Composition Ok in 1 & 2 but overexposed. Easily adjusted in Photoshop Elements as shown.

Try bracketing the exposure of your shots if your camera has this facility, most do.

Hi Sheenagh

If you go into "Private Messages" at the top of the page after you log in you will see a message from me saying how you can get copies of my work on your photo.

I am hoping you will find this sunset shot a little different with the colour of the sky reflecting on the rocks and rockpools.
Location is Clarach Bay, Wales.

I was so impressed with this shot that I have taken the liberty of doing a little work on it to lift the sky in landscape and then crop to portrait to show more detail of the tall ship.

Well done for such an interesting capture.

Thanks 2MATO. Nothing worse than careless cropping.
Top duly whacked off.

I like this shot for it's composition and colour.
Any comments?

Is it worth upgrading?

I currently run PSE9 and I am trialing PSE 11. In my view the new features are minimal and certainly not worth learning the very different interface that comes with 11.

I'll wait for 12 and see what that brings.

Thanks Bert.

Does it for me. Also brings the moored barge into the rule of thirds

Nice one.

I took these shots in Wells Next the Sea harbour, Norfolk UK in bright December sunshine.
The seal was just off shore and quite oblivious to the people taking his photograph.
A photo agency spotted my post on Flickr and sold the photos around the world to newspapers and magazines. It didn't make me a fortune but I enjoyed the 15 minutes of fame.
Hope they bring a smile to your face.

I really like this but for some reason my eye is pulled towards the blue bus on the right. Would it be better cropped out?

The Toolbox, Nuneaton is in my home town. if they haven't got it, you don't need it.

The second shot is from Aberystwyth, Wales. I wasn't tempted in for a cup of tea and a Welsh cake.

Like #3, number one is a little to strong in HDR for me, but I like the backlighting.

You're right on the HDR being overdone. here's the original.

Thanks for your comment. Every August dozens of Hassidic families from all over the UK take over the accomodation at Aberystwyth University, Wales and enjoy a seaside holiday. I hesitate to photograph them because they have a right not to be objects of curiousity. However as this was a shot from the rear I judged it to be OK.

The beach is Clarach Bay, next to Aberystwyth.

I took these on a beach in Wales UK with my Panasonic DMC-TZ20 with some post processing in Elements.
